Shiiiit. That in and of itself might seal Bootch's fate. He's been *locked TF in* on UT for a while. Pretty sure we wouldn't be in the running for his services, but nice to have them lose out on a talented kid nonetheless.

Pretty sure he's a UTk legacy, committed early and hasn't really looked around since then. I honestly have no idea where he'd consider going, but I hope it happens just for the lolz. Wouldn't mind Pittman giving him a call if he does de-commit though

Expect Fields at the Miami/FSU game this weekend. That would be my guess. Friday wasn't a date I heard, but it's as good as any to me.

Fields pulling the trigger would set off a chain reaction in the '18 class, IMO. At that point, I'd expect the class to "fill up" with commitments before the end of the regular season.
There's always a seat or two of musical chairs as we near February, especially as we develop a better shot with some of our higher targets who would be holding out till NSD.

6'6" just shy of 300... runs a 5.0 40yard dash.
Hudl Highlights
Initial gut reaction to his film... looks like this kid dominates guys that are smaller than him, but has good quickness, gets off of his block well, and gives good effort (chases down RBs from the backside several times). I'm assuming the guy didn't do any camps, his film screams borderline 3/4*... likely not the highest evaluation we have at DT, but not as "reachy" as you might assume if you just look at his overall rating.

Kirby is going to get the benefit of the doubt from me every single time, especially on that side of the ball. The guy does not waste scholarships so if he wants a DT this far from signing day, I expect that he sees something that he really really likes.
I'd expect to see this kid start reeling in some more big time offers relatively soon,.
