Supposedly Zamir White is sitting with Kirby and Dell at the UK game...

Pretty sure Zeus is in Chapel Hill today. I could be wrong though

He was supposed to be, opted to go to Athens instead.

UGA's offense is a much better fit for Zeus than Clemson. I'm sure the offensive line we are building doesn't hurt either.

That's big. All of the 247 guys are saying Clemson, but he's been in Athens twice in the last few weeks. At least Kirby is keeping him honest

I like Kirby's style - make them tell you no, and don't quit till the ink is on paper.

We need some serious 2018 momentum....hope someone pulls the trigger soon.

Didn't we have a pretty big recruiting weekend?

Yeah, it was a star studded event. Unfortunately, OOS guys like Parsons, White, Mitchell and Henry are strong leans/commits elsewhere. I think we made progress with the 2019 guys, but you're right 2018 needs some momentum. I'd like to see Salyer and Trey Hill pull the trigger soon to finalize our OL class.

We desperately need a high end QB and RB in this class. I haven't lost hope on Zamir White but we're definitely behind the eight ball right now. Kirby is going to earn his money with the 2018 class. It's weak in the state of GA, so he needs to hit some OOS homeruns to make this a formidable class.

I really want Fields. I don't know how much chance we have to flip though

You're not kidding. I prefer him over a pocket passer such as TL. Just my opinion. It sucks because he feels we neglected him to pursue Lawrence and chances are we miss out on both. I do think MLB is a legit option though.

Fields showed out this weekend at the Opening in Orlando:

quote:

Penn State commit Justin Fields certainly stated his case as one who should be considered America’s No. 1 ranked dual-threat quarterback during this event. The 6-foot-3, 221-pound Fields tested very well including a 4.51 laser-timed 40-yard dash and a 4.16 shuttle. He was one of the top two quarterbacks during drills, showcasing a strong, accurate arm and he’s comfortable throwing on the move. Nobody quarterback was better during 1-on-1s and half-skelly. Fields is one of the bell-cows of a Nittany Lions class that 247Sports ranks No. 1. He checks in as the No. 3 dual-threat passer, but that will certainly be reconsidered in the very near future. Fields left with quarterback MVP honors and an invite to the Elite 11 finals in June.

The good news is that his sister is a freshman on the UGA softball team, so indirectly he'll be on campus to catch some games. I expect Kirby and crew to exploit this

Put Swift & Webb on Fields. They're in-house experts on all things Happy Valley.

She was also at his school to interview him today. Something he said must have convinced her to flip her CB.
