With the limited number of scholarships given to baseball teams, UGA should be cleaning the frick up on in-state talent because they can use a partial scholarship, coupled with HOPE, and basically fill most every roster spot with a full scholarship.

Curry drafted in the 16th round by the Padres. Also missed that Cabera Weaver, 2018 signee, was drafted in the 7th yesterday and is expected to sign.

Maybe. Depends on if Schunk can pick up where left off as the 3 hole and if Smith can find consistency getting on base (had a solid BA but needs to show he draw walks, drag bunt, line drive or whatever just to be on for Schunk and Curry). Really going to need Shepherd to love up to his potential at the plate that he flashed freshman year.

Curry has signed with the Padres. Good luck to him, gonna be tough to replace him and McGovern in the middle of the lineup though.

Guess he figured there wasn’t much improvement to be made to his draft stock next year. Gonna be real tough to lose their power at the 3 and 4 spots. He and kegan were threats to go yard every AB

Wilcox said he’s going to forgo the MLB and stay with the Dawgs.
