My understanding is that whoever is the higher ranked seed from the two pairings hosts. So, if UCLA beat UGA in athens but UNC won their regional, then the Super would be played in Chapel Hill

We would take on the winner of the Texas Tech regional (which includes Louisville and Kent St) in a Super in Athens if we advance

It's winnable for sure. Duke is good but not great. I don't know anything about Campbell or Troy

ETA Troy is considered one of the last four in if that tells you anything

My wife has already started being obnoxious. If I hadn't told her Duke was in our region, she wouldn't have even known that they were still playing baseball.

Anybody know the schedule for weekend? I believe Friday is 2:00 and 7:00. What about Saturday and Sunday?

Dawgs play at 7:30 on Friday. Will play at either 2 on Saturday if in losers bracket or 7 if in winners bracket. Same schedule for Sunday with winning team taking late game and 1 loss teams taking the early one

Campbell
-They are not a good team. They are from the Big South, and that conference is down. They dont have any players that stand out and wow you. When they have played top competition, they have gotten blown out(2 to 11 in a 3 game sweep by St Johns, 9 to 19 in two lossed to East Carolina, 10 to 29 against NCSU with one being a win, 3 to 15 in two losses against Duke). Should be a win, but with this team, I wouldnt guarantee it.

Duke
-The name you will hear often is Griffin Conine(Jeff's son). Came into the season as a preseason all american and probable first round pick. Having a down year, but still has 15 home runs. The rest of the offense isnt great, but they do have speed, use it, and they will take a walk. Batting averages are misleading. Think Billy Bean Oakland A's. On base percentage, on base percentage, and on base percentage. Their top three starts are average at best. Most wouldnt make a staff in the SEC, but they have a great pen, and if they have a lead late, they will close you out.

Troy
This is an up and down team. They havent played too well against top competition, but they did give Tennessee Tech their only series loss this year, and have also beaten Coastal Carolina and Auburn. Offensively, they have 5 guys hitting over .300, led by Joey Denison(.387) and Matt Sanders(.383). Denison could be one of the higher drafted seniors, and Sanders will be a senior draftee as well. Andrew Crane, another senior, is their ace. We might not see him, but he is a solid pitcher. Two time all conference. Another team with a good pen that will strike out a lot of people.

Troy is the second best team in the regional. Will they show it? Who knows, but they are dangerous, senior laden, and have the talent to make it to Omaha. We should win this regional. Its a little weaker than I thought we would get, so there really is no excuse for Stricklin.

More than these teams, I am worried about the effect that those damn trees they planted on Kudzu Hill are going to have on our atmosphere. So help me god, if the Green house cannot be allowed to work it’s magic then the Uga admin get to share all the same blame that Stricklin will get

If you think that’s bad look at Stetsons competition. UNC is salivating over that Super Regional matchup
