Collins is a longshot. I think there are a couple receivers in FL that are bigger UGA targets than people realize. I forget their names though.
I could see 4-5. It's way too far from NSD to know how that will sort itself out.

PA has been underrated putting out HS talent for a long time. Secure Georgia, then go national. I like it.

If we get Swift and him I don't think anyone would complain about missing on Collins. Alabama kids almost never leave the state.

I think it means we want swift super bad and this could seal the deal.

Where do we stand with Anthony McFarland?

This is pretty far away, but I've seen some mentions of Dawg Night on here. Per Rusty, it hasn't been listed on any camp brochures, so I wouldn't expect it to continue, at least in its current form.
This might be unpopular, but it is/was turning in to a negative event way too often. Just too many people all wanting personal attention, and you can't make it invite only by rule.

I hadn't heard anything specific on it, but a few of the things that Kirby and Co had said going back over the last couple of months had led me to believe this might be the case as well. Several recruits had discussed not having a great experience, so it seems they may try and stretch it out into more weekends with smaller visiting numbers. While there may not be the same buzz, it will allow what I believe to be an excellent staff of recruiters to really do work with these kids. While some may see it as a negative, how many times did we see kids come away from Dawg Night as a commit only to retract that commitment and go with another program down the road... it's recruiting so this stuff is bound to happen, but DRob excluded, most of these kids point to relationships and personal interactions as the thing that motivates their decision so I think this can only be a positive if we continue to keep the full court press on the recruiting front as we have so far.

I'd imagine that you'll start to see a lot of the big recruiting weekends in the summer start to come to an end as satellite camps become the new big thing. Of course the goal is always to get kids on campus but I imagine you'll start to see more resources poured into doing creative things across the state and the country with relation to camps as opposed to holding those big ones on campus. I'd imagine the 7on7 will continue in some form, as will a Coach Smart camp is some kind

Not a priority at this time. Rusty said on his last chat that McFarland will not be at UGA. I believe he was predominately a WR, so he is very raw and doesn't have the size to be a 3 down back. The staff is all in on Akers and Swift.

talk floating around on Rivals that we actually lead for Akers and he would like to play with a certain back from "up North". Says Fromm and LeCounte are heavily involved in recruiting him and he is a big fan of both Chubb and Sony.
TIFWIW.

He's got the marketing part down.

Being perfectly honest, I haven't seen one single thing from Kirby thus far that I haven't ben 100% thrilled about or in support of. He's been about as good as you could possibly hope for up to this point, which granted isn't very long. But still.

Agreed. You would expect a gaff or mistake along the way because he is a first time Head Coach....but so far he is hitting on all cylinders.

I'd submit that some would argue that the transfer restriction debacle around AJ Turman's departure was a misstep, but the other side of that coin was that it was necessary to show the entire team that they weren't running back to the Reverend's fold if they didn't like the temperature in Athens.

I would follow him into the mists of Avalon, if that's what you mean
