I'm sorry for the negativity...I guess I was just hoping for commitments with Kirby at the helm...have to admit losing rice...Lonnie and Wilson on friday is not exactly great...but wtf do I know. I'll just read...this is why I don't follow recruiting...might have to go back to that lol.

We have the #3 class, the second highest average rating, and still some big names on the board. This is going to be the best class we've ever had. We're doing fine.

How can we lose a guy like Wilson when were never the favorites? Rice could be considered a loss as many thought he was headed to UGA. Johnson who knows but I think we get three better prospects than him at safety.

It's all good, man. Just to put things in perspective, most schools will send out 150-200 offers throughout a year (some will send out even more), trying to fill between 20-30 roster spots. Basically, you're going to miss on the majority of kids so your staff needs to do a good job of identifying and recruiting those kids with genuine interest. Usually we won't waste time on a kid from New York, but Wilson is a special talent. It's an uphill battle for kids outside of standard recruiting footprint, but you get lucky every now and again.

He is a first rounder if he can learn the position. He's spent almost no time at OL throughout his career up until this year. Things like weight placement in your stance (if you have a lot of weight on your hand, DL knows it's a run play and you're coming off the ball; if you're weight is shifted back over your legs, then you're probably taking a drop step for pass pro), footwork (if you're pulling/chipping to the next level, your first step will make or break your ability to make your block on that play. If you step to far into an anchor step in pass pro then a DL can rip or swim to your inside very easily but if you don't anchor enough then you'll be bull rushed right into the QB), and overall technique, especially working your hands, are what makes a lineman at this level and the next. Cleveland has all he physical tools to be one of the best linemen we've ever seen. He's stronger than hell, he has very quick feet for a guy his size, and he's a pretty mean dude on the field. That's why this off-season is so important for Cleveland; if he can learn how to play the position then the sky is the limit, if he struggles to pick it up then he (and the OL) might be in trouble.

And if Cleveland steps in next season and dominate there's no doubt in my mind the entire online will be great. There's some talent there.
