But our women's tennis team ended Floridas 163 match home winning streak!!!!
ETA: our softball team is 24-3 and ranked 16 right now too!
We also performed well in women's track. Just need to come to the realization we are a female athletic school now

What a sad fricking state f affairs this athletic department has become

I remember back in teh good old days that even when our football team wasn't elite, but still pretty darn good, we had the knowledge that outside of men's basketball just about EVERY OTHER SPORT we played was borderline great to elite.
Now we only have like 2 or 3 sports that are "pretty good" and all the rest are in the garbage.

We could be a case study in how to drive an entire sports department at a major university that has all the advantages into the ground and keep it there.
People should study this for their dissertations and then use what they've learned to serve as a warning for others. That's the state of Georgia athletics right now.

In today's version of "how much worse could it get" we just threw 15 straight balls.
And then we loaded the bases with 1 out in a 4-1 LSU led game before batting into a double play on a 3-1 count because we are a team of children led at all levels by bigger children

Im trying to watch the game today, but these LSU announcers are awful and annoying. Im going to have to go to basketball.

3 straight batters hit by Tucker Bradley. 12 batters hit by our pitchers on the weekend.
Posted on 3/19/17 at 3:38 pm to SumterCoDawg
17 walks issued too. Record high on both counts for a weekend series

Updated the OP after the LSU series.
What's crazy is that this is totally a tale of two teams: The Batters and the Pitchers.
This is far and away the best hitting team Stricklin has had, as well as the youngest team overall.
After 21 games, here are your batting leaders:
HRs:
1. DH Curry - 5
t2. RF Campbell - 3
t2. 2B Proctor - 3
t4. CF Maxwell - 2
t4. LF McGovern - 2
t4. 1B Sasser - 2
t7. C Biggar - 1
t7. 3B Schunk - 1
t7. SS Shepherd - 1
RBIs:
1. DH Curry - 24
t2. 2B Proctor - 10
t2. SS Shepherd - 10
t2. 3B Schunk - 10
t5. RF Campbell - 8
t5. LF McGovern - 8
t7. C Biggar - 7
t7. CF Maxwell - 7
9. 1B Sasser - 5
Walks:
1. CF Maxwell - 15
2. LF McGovern - 12
t3. Curry - 8
t3. Campbell - 8
5. C Biggar - 7
6. 1B Sasser - 6
t7. SS Shepherd - 3
t7. Schunk - 3
9. Proctor - 2
Meanwhile, pitching is pretty much:
Chase Adkins
Andrew Gist
Cairnes
Everyone else
What's sad is that as good as our bats should be next season (and they should be fricking stellar if this season is any indication) our pitching is likely going to continue to hold us back unless some major changes are made.

Don't try and compare us to anyone but other past shittier versions of ourself

Pitching and fielding are even worse. Nearly a full run worse than anybody else in ERA, along with many other nauseating stats.
