There is a textbook definition of Stockholm Syndrome when it comes to Dawg fans and the University, with respect to NSD, thanks to the Right Reverend's closing practices. I think Kirby'Kirby's done ananalyzing job having us in it for 4-5* guys that never would've sniffed Athens otherwise. Next year at this time, the champagne will flow.

you edited this? Just giving you shite though.

I'd agree with the sentiment. It sure looks like the staff got to work quickly, worked some magic and got us in the mix. The proof will be in the pudding on Wednesday. I don't expect miracles, but if we can pull a couple of these high profile guys that were somewhat unexpected or low confidence, will confirm that things are looking good for the future and hopefully eradicate the quiet finishes of bulldawg yesteryear.

Hardman
Carter
Marshall
Price
And barring exceptional SAT scores, Robertson.

I think we also get Simmons and flip Jeawon Taylor from UF.

Not outside the realm of possibility that we land one of Brown, Wilson, Burns, Hudson, or Juaun Williams, either.

All told, it's fricking absurd to think that we could come away from this whole thing with Richt with a 10 win season and a top 5 class. More than we deserve, honestly. And 2017 may legitimately be a #1 class overall.

Don't ever recall a year with so much uncertainty headed into signing day. We usually have a few prospects that go into signing day but our class is usually pretty much locked up. Right now we are sitting at 16 with so many prospects undecided or up in the air. We lack confidence in alot of those as well. Burns to FSU seems to be a consensus. DBrown to AU but really...who knows?. Mecole to UGA or Bama if you believe his leader. Mack Wilson to Bama but likes to tease. Ben Davis Bama lock. Carter to UGA. David Marshall to UGA or AU.....Money on UGA. J.Taylor to UF or UGA...mods think UGA here. So the numbers look to be anywhere from 20 - 25.....or 19 if we miss on one that we are confident in. Really small class either way.

Rusty thinks 50% shot or better for (descending by % chance):

Hardman
Marshall
Price
Carter (Trending down)
Simmons (Even shot)

Under 50% (descending by % chance):

Brown (Trending up)
Burns (Trending down)
Robertson
Taylor (Trending down)
Williams
Wilson
Davis (He gone)

uh oh... the major non-staff "insider" on Rivals just posted that Wednesday will be a "very fun day" for us.

In Bulldog Bob, I trust.

Let's do this.

Based on everything I've read on 247 and Scout, I expect us to land the first four listed (Hardman, Marshall, Price and Carter) and either Simmons or Taylor. Obviously, we land the Nelson kid as well if we offer. Landing anybody else would be icing on the cake.

The absolute best case scenario IMO is Brown, Hardman, Robertson, Price, Carter, Marshall, Simmons, Taylor and Nelson. There's close to a 0% chance that happens. That would be an amazing haul though.

Under the old staff, we would likely have closed w/: Hardman, Marshall and Nelson. And there would be relentless bitching.

who is this and why should I trust him? I've been reading Rivals for a few months and this is the first I've heard of him.

He rarely posts and when he does, it's in emojis and few words.

he rarely posts...he's supposedly on the inside of BM. but when he does post, he's got like a 99.9% accuracy rate.

they mention him as a known insider on 247 too.

How does one "silently" pull an offer, iyo?

Just going by what the Auburn board said....they contacted Marshall and told him he no longer had a committable offer from them. I should have said this in my original post....the inoformation was posted on the Auburn board by jrljr, so TIFWIW. They have been saying for a few days they wish Auburn would pull his offer.

Apparently he was committed to Auburn, and Bama showed him some interest. (I think it was Smart) He decommitted from Auburn and flirted with Bama. The Bama decided not to offer him (Or something went awry) and he went back to Auburn and committed again. Then when we showed him some attention, he came to us for an official visit, then came back on his own the next weekend. It looked as if he was dumping Auburn and they got (Understandably) upset and tole him he no longer had an offer. I don't know for certain if this is the way it went down or if it is a bunch of posters with their feelings hurt.

If you are looking for an argument you are barking up the wrong tree!

Actually...I think he has somewhat learned his lesson from the Trent Thompson fiasco last year. He SEEMS to be toning it down a bit. Even the other Auburn posters still give him a hard time about last year.

AND....he's not nearly as bad as Auburnphan was.

fricking iPhone. New work device. Apparently the keyboard hasn't learned to speak Dawg properly.

He is rivals version of that other guy that is mentioned here sometimes (can't recall the name) from FSF. Basically he's a guy that as ladyluck said doesn't post very often but when he does it's typically take it to the bank type of stuff.

Lowndes? If so, good to know. FYI, he likely won't have the inside scoop anymore as many seem to believe his inside info was coming from inside the Richt camp. (think this was mentioned a few pages back).

It would be a huge melt if Davis actually signs with Georgia over Bama.
