he is the TE and RB coach at WV so he would bring some versatility in that he can coach multiple positions. This guy is recently following several UGA recruits but he could just be recruiting them for WV.

Another guy that may stand out is the most recent follow on that Sam Pittman made who is a coach, Josh Gattis has been the WR coach at Penn State for a bit. This guy looks less fishy as far as potential coach but it's interesting none the less.

While it's possible they are going to be the next position coaches at UGA, it's even more possible they are all just friends and want to communicate. That is boring thought so let's believe they have already been hired.

Why do you say he got a visit?

Also, we already know Chaney is going hard after Jake Fromm, he is going hard after Arthur Brown as well. He is the Number 57 player in the land. It would take a lot but if we can get Robertson and Mecole we might have a good shot.

Oh okay, well I'd bet you they all have a pretty good idea who the position coaches are going to be. Esp with how they just let McClendon go.

Kirby could be keeping it under wraps as to not engulf bama with distractions before their big game.

and that has n-o-t-h-i-n-g to do with how well he can coach. Or recruit. Or gameplan.

You know how much I hate agreeing with you, WG but, you are spot on here.

A great example of this is Willie Mays. One of the greatest hitters in MLB history, was not a great hitting coach. His philosophy was "see the ball. hit the ball." This works great if you were born with the god given ability to see better than 20/20 and have way more than your fair share of quick twitch muscles that allow your body to react to what your cyborg eyes see. Not so great if you are a guy who works hard and needs proper instruction to maximize your potential with better than average but not elite athletic ability.

Why are we even talking about Hines in this thread? Can we please focus on recruiting related topics? Not directed at just you Holliday

Sorry... My fault. Was responding to needing better WR depth/talent in 2016.

Doesn't mean coaches can't talk to recruits and secure
commitments.

Still, the recruiting roller coaster ride that will ensue from the day Kirby returns to Athens to NSD will be ridiculous

Yeah, we have a bunch of big time players out there that we "lead" for or in the top group. It's going to be really interesting to see who all Kirby can lock up.

Willie Allen prolly trolling...

quote:

"All of the schools that I am really considering, I have visited twice," Allen said. "So if I want to, I could commit Saturday at the Under Armour game. I started talking with my family about it. It is early in the week. I have seen enough. If I do commit this weekend, my visits would be over."

No doubt... was thinking trolling in the sense of dropping a bomb Saturday @ the UA game. He'll take it to NSD...
