Has anyone heard anything on Holyfield? I assume because there's been no chatter on him that's a good thing? Anyone know about CKS/Chaney reaching out to him?

He visited last weekend and met the new coaches. He's still committed and seems to be all UGA at this moment.

Though I don't think it has to do so much with the OC hire I do believe that Eason is going to Florida. The fact that he is hyping this up so much as a "decision" makes me feel like it is going to be Florida. It shouldn't have this much drama if he was staying with UGA

Think he sticks with UGA. His family never visited Gainesville.

why, just because of the "hype"?

this your first time following recruiting? These are 17 year old children, they want attention.

That and because we just lost our long time coach, have a less than sexy OC, and because he has made good relationships with the FLA folks in the meantime. And yes, these are 17 year old kids and that means drama but the one thing Jacob has NOT been until recently is dramatic. Ever since Mark Richt left he has been flaky and in the middle, that spells trouble if you ask me.

Smart lost a program changer due to a mediocre hire. Fire this motherfricker now before we end up in the Goff zone.

All Dawg. Word is that Whaley didn't really want to commit here, and kind of jumped to his commitmet to early. He will more than likely end up at Texas. Currently looking for a second back to pair with EH

Y'all are ridiculous. He took one visit to UF and one to UW. He would have been dumb not to - he didn't even know who our OC would be!

He has approached the whole process as rationally as you could hope for. The problem with so much scrutiny on the recruiting process is that it overlooks the human element...he is a kid, at the end of the day. Not some football robot programmed to make the right decisions and say all the right things to the press.

The way he has handled it makes me more confident in his success as a QB in the long run, honestly.

Really? He's a high school kid. I don't think high school kids thinking the world revolves around them is exclusive to the current generation of high schoolers alone.

I'm sure you're right, but I didn't grow up that way and I know many others who did not. By the time I was his age, I had a pretty good understanding of things around me and what this kid is overreacting to would not have been an issue.

I'm more pissed about the fact that Pruitt is already poaching our recruits and we haven't even played our bowl game yet.

I agree. The way Pruitt is playing the "you mean he hasn't even come to see you yet - you were MY number one guy!?" card seems indicative of exactly WHY he isn't here any longer.

Our insider flew to Seattle and he is already there for this. He will be visiting Eason's school and stuff today.

Thats funny, UGA fans think he's going to UF and UF fans think he sticks with UGA....guess we'll find out.

The big thing for me is 1) he never decomitted and 2) his folks, who are heavily involved, have never set foot in the hell whole that is Gainseville. And while they were in Athens, Jacob was in Gainseville hammered and nailing jort hos. Mama Eason won't like that very much!

What do you mean by your insider? Like a booster? That confident he's a dawg?
