Could you imagine the melt if he reports to Gainesville in January, really hoping Kirby closes the business.

I'm done worrying about the kid. If he comes here, great. If he goes to UF, I hope Kirby's D makes him regret his decision.

UGA going 10-3, still getting a new HC, and then getting the #1 class with everyone's favorite messiah at QB would be pretty god damn awesome

I came... and all that stuff.

So Kirby joined Twitter which isn't a big deal, but I was looking around at the recruits he "follows" and noticed that the only current coach he "follows" is TB and the guy he brought with him from BAma. Maybe the rumors about TB being the only coach retained are true... Or maybe it dosent mean a damn thing. Just thought it was interesting.

I don't think he'd follow any coaches until he knew they're on his staff. With him following the assistant from Bama and TB, and both of them being on the recruiting trail, it's safe to say as of right now those are the only two he knows for sure is on his staff.

What if his new OC is currently on another staff focusing on a playoff game and they don't want distractions?
He told Eason he was going to take his time.
What if he's taking his time for a reason?

If it takes a month to get his guy then so be it. He shouldn't let an 18 year old kid force him to hire someone who isn't his first choice.

That's a good point. It could be a guy who also has a strong connection to a kid who's currently committed to another program or undecided, but heavily courted by another program at the moment. Pure speculation, to be sure, but valid all the same.

“I never really felt down about UGA,” Eason said. “I was just trying to figure out who they were going to hire and all that stuff and they got a good one. We’ll wait to see who he gets at (offensive coordinator) and we will go from there.”

“He didn’t guarantee anything,” Eason said. “He is going to take the time — I think it is a good idea — to make sure he gets the right guy for Georgia and to really develop me and all that stuff.”

quote:

It is pretty important,” Eason said. “This is going to be the guy who is going to be working to get me to my full potential for the next four years. We are going to wait-and-see who they get and all that stuff before we make any big decisions. I’m sure he’s going to get a great guy in there so Georgia has got nothing to worry about.”

Sounds like Kirby made a really good impression on Eason and was honest with him that he wasn't going to rush the hire. Also appears that Jacob is still all dawg barring a screw up with this hire. As long as he has a good weekend with us, we shouldn't be worried.

Hopefully Cleveland will talk some sense into him over the weekend and get this UF garbage out of his head

I guarantee you Ben is doing his best to level his head out after a wild weekend at UF. How many recruits will be at the gala this weekend? Is it only EE's? How does this go down...

What I don't like is that he still says he's "committed" to Georgia, but then follows that up with I'll decide between Georgia and UF next week.

Did the meaning of the term "committed" change recently or what? Either you have DECIDED on Georgia or you haven't. Why not just open yourself (and your recruitment) back up and quit calling yourself something that you clearly are not as of now?

Cause he is a typical 18 year old lol

but ya I think his wild weekend in FL was just that...a fun weekend getting hammered without mommy and daddy around while having a three some with some FL pussy....

I would have done it too...we all would have.

Eason is coming to UGA but he 'came' in Florida

This should be construed as good news for us. He's saying he is a Dawg unless we make an OC hire that disagrees with his desired development. If he was truly up in the air, I don't think he would make it such a point in his interviews to say he's still committed.

In both of his interviews since the UF visit, he has gone out of his way to say he's still committed to Georgia. I think that's partially to reassure his fellow commits. Interviewers have given him every chance to say otherwise.

Eason will be at UGA unless we hire a really bad coordinator or one that runs the triple option. Think he just wanted a backup school just in case and you can't blame him for that.

Kind of like he's "committed" to his girlfriend but still banged some trashy Florida jort wearing skanks.

We're the gal you marry, UF is the slumpbuster gal who let's you try crazy shat.

He has to keep the door open enough to have a spot at UF in case we bungle. We won't, he'll end up at UGA.
