Really wish we would offer Brad Stewart now that it sounds like Van is out. Stewart has great hands, athletic ability, just not elite speed but regardless I think he will be a big time role receiver on someone's team.

Van has officially decommitted

And barring something happening tonight, Donte is picking LSU tomorrow, per a poster on FSF that is very close to Donte's recruitment.

About time..would've rather it had happened sooner so we could have more certainty on our spots left and made a press for someone else. Maybe they did since he was unbelievably wishy-washy and dramatic the past few months.

Even so, wouldn't you imagine that this would go down to NSD?
Unless he decides to shut it down

Sucks, but based on his recent comments I expected it. Hopefully we can finish out with a really strong class regardless.

Agreed...should be a very successful class regardless of what happens with Donte.

Once LSU offered, it was game over for Donte. I'm surprised he had not committed earlier to be honest.
As for Van decommitting, it's not all that bad. Once we lost Bobo, I thought this class would fall apart. I know we have 2 weeks left, but we've only lost 2 players (Van and Allen). Of the two, Allen is the biggest loss. We can absorb the loss of Van with Slayton, Godwin, Chigbu and Stanley. We are bringing in some great guys at WR. I see this as an opportunity to add depth elsewhere.

No offense Tyler, but I seriously doubt that anyone on FSF is close to Donte Jackson's recruitment. That's not to say he won't pick LSU, but the only Georgia person close to Donte Jackson is Bruce Figgins and I doubt he posts on FSF.

He wasn't committed, but losing Bobo/Friend also lost our chance with Chidi.

We don't even know if Chidi will make it into school. There are rumors he will be a sign and place player. He has grade issues, so I think his recruitment could extend another year.

This is the UGA we all know when it comes to recruiting. The wheels seemingly fall off down the stretch.
They haven't officially come off yet, just a little wobbly, but if we miss on Jackson, McGraw sticks with BAMA, Roquan goes to Michigan, Wilson goes UF to play WR, and we lose Baker then the wheels will have come off in a major fricking way.

No, this is what happens when you lose a well-respected coordinator coming down the stretch. I'd expect Roquan to pick us, but any of the other guys would be complete surprises. Kids change their minds all the time, and sometimes we're on the good end of that, but this year we probably won't be with our coaching changes.

Wonder how OU's featured WR did in this one. Hayull, Clemson West Virginiaed Oklahoma....

Roquan isn't going to Michigan and I doubt Baker flips at this point. But I coul see us losing Wilson, McGraw sticking, and we miss on Jackson. Allen is going to be a coin flip down the stretch.
