Good. Fields is a monster, chances are we won’t see him while he’s a Clemson

Per Rusty, Van Jefferson appears bound for Oklahoma after his most recent visit there. They hired Lincoln Riley from ECU and they will run the Air Raid Offense in Norman. Barton Simmons just changed his CB to OU as well.

Oh well.

Figured we'd keep Jefferson.

So now, fill the spot with a WR or another position? OL/OLB/DB?

I'm really tired of reading about Van Jefferson. I think he's a great player, but his schtick is getting old.

Looks like Shaquery Wilson may visit UF on January 30th. Think he was told to look around and we have good feelings about Orr?

I think UGA will try to shut that visit down

Better Oklahoma than any SEC team.

Could not agree with you more. I have beyond moved on from him being part of this UGA class. At this point, I would be more upset if I were Ole Miss about Van and OU

I've been over his arse for a while now. Dude has been looking for any reason in the world to not go to UGA... Just GTFO...

It's not surprising since he passed up the chance to be an early enrollee. But I am surprised that it's Oklahoma he's considering. Van's goal is obviously to get to the NFL. Receivers may rack up yards in an air raid offense, but for a small frame guy like Jefferson, NFL scouts might be more interested in seeing how he performs in a traditional system in a tougher defensive league.

I hope the coaches don't rush to recruit another receiver in this class. It's a position where we can make it up next year and good receivers can contribute early if they're physically ready.

Well Shaq Wilson that's coming in can also play WR. I think he'd rather play WR, so he's still kinda looking around. So we have that option...

Saw where PJ offered the Stewart kid from Savannah a grey shirt to play at GT....

Based on his videos, I thought Wilson has more upside as a WR than as a DB. Maybe he'll stick.

So there is a thread about Donte and Roquan over on 247 by a poster that knows someone that 'claims' to be close to Smith. I call BS. Same poster said it was going to be Bloomgren and Weinke.

Oh, the fun of recruiting.

According to some folks on FSF, Roquan is now and has been a Dawg for a while. As for Donte, UGA stands a very good chance (we in-home with him tonight) but it's going to be a gametime decision for him tomorrow when he announces. And no matter who he chooses tomorrow, it's still going to go all the way to NSD. Word is that mom and sister are all about UGA but extended family and friends want him to stay home at LSU.

If that's true, too bad he couldn't have been an early enrollee. Those extra few months of strength and conditioning and learning Pruitt's scheme would have been really helpful for next season.
