Georgia’s Top 10 OL for 2015

Mitch Hyatt, North Gwinnett (Clemson)
Chuma Edoga, McEachern (USC)
Chidi Valentine-Okeke, Faith Christian (Alabama & Auburn lead)
Marquel Harrell, Creekside (Auburn)
Dallas Warmack, Mays (Alabama)
Kaleb Kim, Mill Creek (Auburn)
Bailey Sharp, Sprayberry (Auburn)
Venzell Boulware, Creekside (Tennessee)
Sage Hardin, Marist (UGA)
Cole Minshew, Coffee (FSU)

D, JD, that is awful. If we recruited the OL like we do every other dam position we really would compete for MNC's most years. You don't need Gurley/ Chubb talent with a great OL.

I agree that we need bodies there and I also agree that offensive linemen recruiting is a bit different than other positions, but when I look at the teams that are competing and winning championships I don't see two stars on their o-line roster.

However, I'll trust the coaches to evaluate and recruit what they need since they are the ones getting paid to do it.

To be fair, if we had kept friend we would have landed a 5 star and a 4 star OT. Friend wasn't an ace recruiter but he was improving and had landed a couple of really solid classes to help bring in guys like Kublanow, Wynn, Sims, and Baker. He would added Chidi, Allen, and Cleveland to his cap if he had stayed another 2 years. That's a pretty impressive group.

That is a great OL class in GA and we didn't capitalize at all. It's tough with Bama and Auburn close to us, but you would think that we could get more than 1 of these guys even before Friend left.

This years major focus was giving pruitt the pieces he needs to take the d to the next level. Half of that top 10 Olinemen weren't coming to us no matter what.
Georgia is the hardest state to lock down the borders. To many transplants from around the country here, and to many historic football powers on our borders. Be happy we are getting the guys we are. Also In the running for top players from other states.
And I wouldn't trade shite for guys like Gurely/Chubb/Sony.

Doesn't get much attention on here, but if Kirby Choates is actually qualified, he's somebody UGA needs to sign imo. They can make room.

You be happy. I've already said that I was willing to take a hit this o-line class. And spare me the transplant story. I've heard it too many times.

Anyone see if Godwin decided not to go to Auburn this weekend? I see that Lilly and Schotty visited him and then Scouts Chad Simmons tweeted that a 5-star isnt going to Auburn as originally planned. Just trying to put 2+2 together.

They've been thinking it for a while. A lot of guys that he camped with or became friends with have been to Auburn.

They also think because of the late official visit, they have a good chance.

IMO Godwin just messin around with other schools

I believe they are talking about Preston Williams, who just changed his visit from this week to next weekend. Could be wrong though
