The odds of Godwin sticking are good and have always been good

Pruitt and Schotty (if he turns out to be good at it) are good indicators that we are at least trying to go in the right direction. I have tempered my expectations of Schotty but who knows? Beats what we usually do, right?
Spot on IMO

And as someone said last night, this hire will prolly cement CMR's legacy, one way or the other...
If Schott doesn't work out CMR will prolly be shown the door at the same time CBS is. Richt has hitched his horse to this hire...

Which is a good thing. We finally take it to the next level or we blow it up and start over

Just a heads up...Minkah Fitzpatrick and Rico are both scheduling OVs to UGA this month according to 247
Minkah said he had shut stuff down a few months ago, Rico hasn't been as vocal about Bama adding more DBs to the class, Minkah has been very vocal about it
Pruitt doing work to get another elite CB for y'all IMO

What are the odds of Godwin sticking now that OC is settled? I know he responded favorably to the hire, but does anyone feel that it was just lip service?
I think Godwin sticks with UGA IMO

Since you're here, do you have any thoughts on Schottenheimer? He apparently interviewed with Saban a few years ago for OC position, but decided to remain in the NFL at that time.

One thing Rusty has said since the middle of the season is that he would not be the least bit surprised if Pruitt were able to flip a highly recruited DB. He's been working it hard and has a history of pulling off flips at the 11th hour. The guy is tireless and I love it.

Noles fully expect a flip to them for Fitz
From last night:
There hasn't been a lot of movement with Minkah Fitzpatrick that I haven't covered before. The information we had before has been confirmed again in the last 24 hours that everything still looks good for the Seminoles. I would call a flip from Alabama to FSU "very likely" at this stage. He recently reached out to the staff. Fitzpatrick had an up and down week at the Under Armour event where he had a pick the first day, but also got beat later on in the day. Regardless, FSU wants him badly and that point has been made clearly once again to me as of Wednesday.
and
One of the biggest reasons Fitzpatrick is so high on the 'Noles is his relationship with FSU defensive coordinator Charles Kelly. Fitzpatrick even spoke with Kelly before and after the Under Armour events. Fitzpatrick doesn't have any visits planned, but we hear it wouldn't be a surprise if he visited FSU before National Signing Day.

And I'll echo again what I said yesterday; we NEED Jackson and Smith. I'd say Jackson is the top target if it were me.
I really hope we get him, and feel as if we may.

Plus, as someone said yesterday, an OC in the NFL just kind of has to deal with the pieces he is given (the Rams and Jets haven't had jack shite to work with). An OC in college is actively involved in choosing and developing his own pieces. He may thrive in this environment.

Is there a slighest glimmer of hope for Chidi V-O? Just got his 5th star on 247....

If we hire a really good OL coach, I think we could get him back.
Posted on 1/8/15 at 10:39 am to Fats
I think he should be a top priority, which I'm sure he still is. I know losing the OL coach wouldn't help us but I think a sit down with Richt, Schott, and the new OL coach is in order...
When's the last time UGA landed a 5star OT?

Roquan Smith just picked up a CB to Michigan. WTF?
Posted on 1/8/15 at 10:45 am to RedPants
I guess he likes coach Durkin.

Not been as long as I thought, but still a pretty good bit.

I think that's a little premature for the Harbaugh effect but maybe so.
