Haha, this coming from someone who dropped out, got his GED because he couldn't even qualify for that shitty academic school in Cola? Think about it. Couldn't even get into to one of the worst academic schools in the conference. Ironic, but funny nonetheless.

Well, clearly he's not the smartest. Just wish he'd stop sharing his uneducated opinions with 2015 recruits.

If we were to somehow land Jefferson and T.Thompson, what would that do to our defense? Being that we technically run a 3-4, would we switch to primarily 2 DTs anyway, considering they are both top 10 national players? If you get both those guys in one class it'd be hard not to unleash them at the same time.

I'd guess cross train them at DT/DE and use them as rush ends in Nickel and plug guys in non-nickel situations.

Personally I think we will see alot more four down linemen under Pruitt than we saw under Grantham. There are guys on our roster now, Deloach and Dawson, that would benefit from having there hands in the dirt. Basically I think Pruitt will set up in whatever formation he needs to in order to get his best guys out there.

My best guess is that our defense will be something like this, based on what I've read.

The front 3 positions will all be somewhat different. A NT position like what we've had with Grantham, a DT position similar to a DE under Grantham or like what Dareus played at Bama, and a slightly smaller DE, similar to what you would find in a 4-3. Opposite of that DE, you would have an OLB similar to Bama's jack position. That guy could basically function as a DE in nickel but would have a little more flexibilty to drop into coverage in base defense.

This sort of scenario would make us sort of a hybrid defense, not a true 3-4 or 4-3. It would allow us to be very multiple.
