There's no way Huggins commits to UGA right? I thought this guy was staying in state at Clemson and UF was next on the list...

I'd say it's about 50/50 UGA/Clemson. UF hasn't been in play in a while

He has had just as long a time to commit to Clemson as he has to UGA and arguably even more reason to do so but hasn't done it. He has been holding out to see how the UGA class plays out and how the staffs might shake up. Right now, Clemson is changing and Venables is a rumroed candidate for A&M. With the loss of Vasser, a spot on the UGA DL has opened up just in time for his announcement next week. So, the writing appears to be on the wall at this point. Dawg.

Here's a bunch of stuff Chad Simmons posted on the Scout payboard that Dean also posted over on the freeboard trying to get some new script's. Mostly blah, blah...

Chads Tuesday Night Recruiting Nuggets:

Here ya go:

- Pruitt has been in Miss the last 24-36 hours... Met with Jarvis Wilson and his parents on Monday evening, then was at Johnathan Abram's school on Tuesday morning. Saw both commits. Both are DBs and both will enroll early at UGA. Richt and Pruitt will be back to see both prospects on Sunday Dec. 14.

I spent time with Wilson today and he is a GREAT kid... I have a lot of respect for him and how he handled the de-commit from MSU. He committed to UGA during his official visit, but waited to make that public so he could have time to talk with MSU coaches about it first. He did not want them to find out over the internet or social media.

Wilson is a shade under 6-1, close to 190 pounds, and very long. He is an ATH. He is going to play boundary corner for UGA.

I will see Abram on Thursday.

----------

Chidi Valentine-Okeke is now set to visit UGA officially this weekend. Will Friend was at his school today and the big OT now has three official visits scheduled -- Georgia, then Auburn next weekend, then Alabama.

It will be one of those schools. Georgia is in the lead by a considerable margin at this time.

----------

Mark Richt is at Darius Slayton's home with BMac Tuesday evening. This is a HUGE in-home visit and UGA knows it...

Richt usually holds his in-home for a kid like Slayton until January, but he wants to close the deal Tuesday night.

Tennessee is THE biggest thrat to UGA and this race is tight.

----------

If you remember, I put Quincy Vasser on DE-COMMIT ALERT, and he has done so.

Moving on.

----------

UGA commit Michael Chigbu had a visit with Arizona State Monday and he is now planning to visit them officially in January. No date is set yet.

He will meet with UGA on Friday -- Ball will be in New Orleans to see him.

Chigbu will visit UGA officially Dec 12 weekend.

He is still strong to UGA imo. I will see Chigbu next week when I am out in New Orleans.

----------

Coach Sherrer was at Hapeville Charter Tuesday afternoon to check on Arden Key.

I have said for almost two months that this is one to watch and this one is really heating up. I do not see Key signing with Carolina right now. He is going to take official visits to UGA and LSU.

UGA likes this kid -- trust me.

They want him rushing off the edge in Athens in red and black, not trying to block him.

----------

Next week is it for Albert Huggins.

Dabo Swinney visits Huggins Wednesday (Tomorrow), Richt on Thursday Dec. 11, then Huggins commits on Friday Dec. 12.

UGA is in this race and it has been since he and his parents visited over the summer. VERY tight here... Could go either way... I still lean towards Clemson, but Georgia is in it.

----------

Pruitt made it out to New Orleans Tuesday afternoon and the first person he went to check on was Donte Jackson.

LSU trending here as it has been since mid-season, but this is FAR from over.

USC made an impression, but the Trojans are a longshot.

It will be Georgia or LSU.

Jackson will take his official to LSU in a couple of weeks, then visit UGA last.

----------

Lilly and Ekeler checked on Roquan Smith, the TOP LB target for UGA on Tuesday.

Smith is a strong lean to the Dawgs at this time.

----------

Nothing to worry about with Jonathan Ledbetter.

He took an OV to Bama over the weekend. He will start his career at UGA in January.

----------

Terry Godwin had Lilly and Ball in his home for a few hours Sunday night.

All still looks good for the Dawgs here.

Godwin is set to take an official visit to USC this weekend, then he will take his OV to UGA on Dec. 12.

Alabama and likely Auburn will get an official in January as well.

I am still hearing the visits are just visits and that he is set on being a Dawg

Sweat Wednesday, Huggins Friday.

Rumor from multiple folks is that Floyd, Jenkins, and Mitchell are staying.

Yea... don't see that.

Need 2 of the 3 to stay IMO. Jenkins and Mitchell. LoCo can fill in on Floyd's spot.

Mitchell would be important since we lose Conley and Bennett.

He needs to stay. Nothing against him but he needs to prove he can stay healthy and show that explosiveness again that once made him a great player.

This may be the best recruiting job of the season if it holds up.

Really good player

Pretty sure this may be one of those that was initially considered an academic risk and he made some weird statements about USC's academics but hell of a player.
