That could also be a positive to some kids. Play in the Pac12 and you have a lesser chance of being harassed by a grown man who defines his life by the success of a college football team. Just playing devil's advocate.

You serious? There's a big world out there.

I've been called a dummy.....

While they don't have as many of the "live and die" by saturday types of fans as the SEC does, no other conference does either. Pac 12 is a pretty good place to be. Get to play in some really cool venues with pretty good fans. I'd send my kid to USC, Stanford, or UCLA for the education alone.
UCLA gets to play in the Rose Bowl

Read last post on the prior page. I was being a smartarse. Didn't realize disparaging the PAC telewelve would cause angst on our Dawg board.
I am very sorry. The PAC whatever is awesome. I hope my son plays football in lime green, reflection orange or Powder blue one day.

You recommended someone play at GaState over USC, that is what triggered this. It's ok if kids don't want to play in the SEC.

Yea, there are some outstanding schools out west. Honestly, if Stanford offered my son a scholarship to play football, I'd be pissed if he didn't seriously consider it.

Is that really what I did RedPants?
Further, what I said was I don't GAS where he goes. Quite the opposite of thinking its not OK to leave the SEC. That is what triggered "this"

Context my friend, context.

I get what you were saying. You were implying that if a kid is trying to avoid crazy fans, then he'd be guaranteed that at GaState over a school like USC. It's just not as fun to spell out the argument.

That's pretty funny. I had to wrap it up and knock out a few calls. You have proven you are no dummy. Well played.... I am glad to know you really aren't that big of a disagreeable douche!

I don't really care about the pac 12 or uscw. Simy that I understand why someone would want to play there.

umm, I believe his mother will likely move out there since her sister is already out there. LA is pretty cool place. Granted I would choose UCLA or even Stanford/Cal over USCw just due to the placement of the campuses. A good friend worked at USCw and I used to visit out there. It is....interesting.
