Repost since my last post was placed at the bottom:

So, what are the rules/infractions dealing with this? Is MT an EE?

If he is, there has to be something against him coming to campus and meeting our staff on a "visit" type atmosphere even if he contacts our staff first, correct?

But if he isn't enrolled, is it out of the realm of possibility for him to come to Athens one weekend if he contacts our staff first?

So confusing but I haven't experienced this type of situation in recruiting yet involving our school so any clarification would be great because I'm under the impression that he has to choose solely based on everything he learned from his top schools in last year's recruiting cycle..

I doubt FSU releases him. It would set a bad precedent for the future with teams under-the-radar recruiting their signed players beyond NSD.

I think if MT wants out, his best option would be to spend a semester at JUCO, redshirt, and enroll at the school of his choice in January with 4 to play 4. He could also go to prep school, but I don't know about the financial situation there.

We cannot have any contact with Thomas until he is granted a release. Otherwise, it's considered tampering and the NCAA would not permit him to transfer to UGA. If he is granted a release, be it conditional or unconditional, and we're one of the schools he is allowed to transferred to in a conditional release, then he can visit before he decides. As it is right now, he basically belongs to FSU.

Alright, gotcha so nothing happens until a release can be confirmed. Good deal. Thanks

ETA: And TheOcean sucks. That is all.

Yeah, I'd rather have a conversation with Don any day though.

My undergrad advisor a couple weeks ago interviewed Richard and said he was leaning towards us. I guess that was bullshite.
I hope he has fun choosing lesser SEC schools to play football

He may have been leaning toward us, but he just didn't jump on the opportunity fast enough. Jeb beat him out.

He was leaning towards us...then Jeb committed. Richard's offer is no longer commitable. That's the way recruiting works sometimes.

Eh, long way to go anyway but I don't see him signing with them in the end. Guess we'll see. Thanks

Sounded like he was just high after their visit. Hopefully we can get him on campus this summer and make up that ground

No problem. I just read through the article again and he actually has UGA third on his list behind NC State, and Miami is his #2 school currently. But as you stated, LONG way to go til Feb.

I read the ESPN article, and I must say I’m surprised UGA is not all over this kid. When he spoke of UGA, he said “I need to talk to them more” and “interest is sliding up and down like a roller coaster.” Are we not recruiting as hard as others?

But like everyone has stated, it’s early we need to get him on campus. He is committing at the Army AA Game, so we have plenty of time.
