Tavon Ross, defensively, watching the whole video, looks really good. It's not just that he's dominating smaller shittier high school guys, he seems to have a nose for where the ball is and cuts through the clutter to make a tackle. He's not the best or most explosive player I've ever seen, but if we had 11 of him on defense we wouldn't have problems.

Then we lose to schools like your LSU and Auburn
I thought we beat LSU. Thanks for clearing that up.

Those are minor rules? Marshall did not steal from teammates at Auburn. If he had, he would not have played fro them, either.

He better get on board or continue getting beat by convicts and potheads.
So, you want to root for a team full of potheads and convicts? Good. Become an Auburn or LSU fan.
And, I believe you were asked to start another thread if all you want to do is complain and whine. This is the recruiting thread, not the whining thread.

My biggest concern is he doesn't seem to ever wrap up on a tackle. He tries to go for the big hit and knock people down. that may work in high school a lot, but is less successful at the college level. He does look very difficult to block, though and has a nose for the football.

That can be taught. Basically, what I see in that film is:
Really good athlete. Not the most explosive maybe but definitely a solid athlete.
Good size
Great ball skills
A nose for the ball
A propensity for violence. He ain't scared.
Good enough for me

This has preperation for signing day failure written all over it. This kid is a 2 on rivals. We can't do better than this?

FWIW, we have a Crystal Ball prediction change this morning, Christian Miller to the good guys. I know they’re somewhat meaningless, but interesting nonetheless.
With that said, Christian Miller made a Crystal Ball prediction of his own yesterday, Wesley Green to the Cocks.

He's also a high 3* on 247. He would make 17 commitments. We're trying to take 21. This is by no means an admission of defeat on anyone

I'll take your word for it, but the kid only has a few offers. May not mean anything. To me it might mean that other schools have evaluated him and decdied he's not d1 material. Just my opinion though.

He was committed to Missouri, and they beat our arse. He reportedly had grade issues, which would explain the lack of offers.

He reportedly had grade issues,

SO I talked to my friend and he told me he may have trouble. The issue isn't his GPA (I knew it wasn't) but his CORE GPA. He isn't a dumb kid just doesn't focus on school.

So if he has grade issues how will he get in to uga and survive?

Hey buddy, just a question. What is the difference?
If Tim Jennings and Thomas Davis are an indication of what UGA gets out of a "2 star talent", why not take a flyer on the kid when UGA has room in the class?

Yeah you strike gold every now and then with one of these kids. But I'd much rather take a class full of 4-5 stars than 2-3 stars. There's a reason why most of these kids are rated so high or low. Besides Jennings and Davis had much better coaching than what this kid would get from CTG. I'm not really trying to slam the kid. Every one has an opinion and mine is that this is a safety net pick up.

Yep. Those kids have the means to attend more camps where more recruiting sites and coaches are in attendance.

How do you know that. Are you using the guy that was let go from the staff in 2009 as a basis? You don't even know who the DB coach is going to be yet. That is who he will get his most intimate coaching attention from. Now, I am not slighting Willie in anyway, but when the DB coach is hired, then we will truly know if he will get better coaching or not.
