I sometimes check the last post on a thread just to see how it's turned from the day before and this is what I got.
ETA: This is my version of a bump

What's up with our OL recruiting?
Got Theus, lost Young.
Going after Tunsil, but I've got my doubts.
In-state guys look okay, but none seem to be slam dunks talent wise or committment wise.
Concerned about our over all talent in this group. At this point, Gates seems to be the only guy with a punchers chance at being a pro.
Seems the better teams are getting their fair share of Theus'. We might get one every other year. Look at what Auburn's done the last two recruiting years on the OL. I'm not big on the star rating thing, but they've gotten several big name kids and from all over the country. And we settle for, well, you know who we're settling for.
Will Friend not cuttin' it? Color me dubious.Seems Richt settled for this guy instead of searching high and low like he did for Grantham. IMO,struggling at OL has been Richt's biggest flaw since being at GA, even moreso than holding on to Willie Martinez for too long.

I guess my point is that OL has been weak or highly inconsistent since 2001,Willie was shitty for about three years.

Friend was not and is not an established recruiter...this could be to blame for an underwhelming class last year and a sluggish start this year. Hopefully things turn up this summer.

Long way to NSD; if Florida has another tough year and we're back in the SECCG, Richt will turn on the good Christian charm and woo mama.

We need to suck it up and offer Hall; he'd be a serviceable interior lineman and it would assure us of landing Shamire Devine. Devondre Seymour is all Dawg and has a very high ceiling. Kublanow is the best interior lineman to come out of the state in years, UGA leads. He talks to Bobo everyday, Friend twice a week, and McClendon every week...that's 2 of our best recruiters and his position coach.

I'm not going to disagree with any of that.

This, I might argue about.

We really need depth at OL. I heard on Chuck and Chernoff yesterday that AU has something like 16 or 17 on roster right now. I don't know what's normal but I've always felt we never had enough.

Okay, maybe I'm wrong here, but I don't think it's that big of a reach.
Richt's been very inconsistent at this pos. Even our best lines were only one injury away from disaster. You'd think he'd notice that our very best lines also coincided with his best teams.

And that is what has always held us back from greatness IMO.
We have always had decent to good QBs, RBs and WRs, just no line to protect them.

I had a dream last night.
UGA and LSU in the SEC Champ game.
It's OT and Murrary get's sacked and fumbles the ball.
LSU somehow wins 3-0.
Weird arse dream.
