"Scholarship" for...?

I don't think anyone knows, I guess maybe OM has some sort of general scholarship type fund or something that can be given out. I feel 100% certain by looking at that wildebeast she hasn't earned an academic scholarship, although it is ole miss so who knows.

Interesting. That is some clever, sneaky shiz. I didn't know they had that in 'em at OM.

It's probably a scholorship for equestrian; all schools hand those scholarships out like candy.

Oh well, what goes around comes around.

Equestrian what? Elephant riding? Lord knows she'd kill a horse if she actually managed to somehow get up on one.

Apparently Tyren Jones was told yesterday that he now has a commit-able scholy offer to UGA should he choose to accept...

She may can wrestle with the horse but there's NO way she's riding on one..that'd be cruelty to animals

That may prove fruitful should Kamara pick Bama.

Well, LT never even saw a game there yet he's going. So ya never know, maybe HF has lined up a Brinks truck for this one.

Got this off of Dawgbark.net, in regards to possibly missing out on alot of the recruiting targets on Wednesday...

quote:

Regardless of how the Dawgs finish out the class on Wednesday the Dawgs are still going to have one of the best returning teams in the SEC and the country next season. I'm not saying it doesn't hurt and we didn't need those players because we did. But, UGA is coming off back-to-back SEC Championship appearances. As a matter of fact UGA is the only school in the SEC in the last 10 years to appear in back-to-back SEC Championship games on two different occasions. In the last 10 years, UGA has played in 5 SEC Championship games. LSU has played in 4 and Alabama - Florida in 3. The moral of this article is that UGA has been around a lot longer than guys like Laremy Tunsil, Reuben Foster, and Alvin Kamara and will still rise to the top because we have one of the best coaches in America and some of the best talent.

Perfectly describes my feelings on the subject.

On George Adeosun, the OL we offered late.....
quote:

This is from JC Shurburtt a national recruiting analyst for 247 sports...

Granted Laremy Tunsil was the top offensive line prospect in this class, but if Georgia gets Adeosun, I am not sure that there's a ton of drop-off potential-wise. He may have further to go, but offensive line is all about development and he certainly has the ability to be outstanding.

Our Top247 was locked by the time we ranked him (that's just what we have to do to keep our team rankings organized), but had they not been, he would have been a top 100-150 prospect at least.

It's crazy that he slipped through the cracks playing where he plays, but he's a good one. I think that this will be a case study in just how much you split hairs when you are ranking prospects.

This is from Chad Simmons on George..

This kid is a good one... Once I saw his tape, I contacted Scott Kennedy immediately. It was too late to get him to four stars, but he is a high three star with a lot of upside. He really moves well in space and has the length and size you like.

that article is a nice pick-me-up and all but the author fails to mention that those teams that we may have more SECCG appearances than are all whipping our arse in the titles that matter. i like the sentiment but that's just a bunch of moral victories slung together and all it really does is make me feel silly. i half expected that hackneyed "at least we got our players honestly" garbage.

then again i just rather sit here and brew on what just happened rather than try and pick myself up with that

ETA: and fwiw i don't think the sky is falling, i'm more in the middle cause i never thought richt and co would land the super class anyway. i just don't like either extreme these days

She might be able to ride an Irish warmblood or a draft horse, but god help that poor animal if it's anything smaller.

No, the moral of the story is we need guys like Tunsil and Foster to quit just making the big games and start winning them again.

But..I'm over it. I expect to get Adams and Bellamy to go along with everyone else and that will be a pretty solid class that meets our needs. It would've been nice to have an elite, top 3 class but we're not so there's no use getting upset about it.
