I actually think the finish of Foster, Tunsil, Kamara, Adams, Johnson and Crowder is possible.

As it stands:
I'd put money on us landing Kamara, Tunsil and Johnson (supposed to be this weekend).
Pretty confident on us landing Foster.
We're really going hard after Adams and I've seen this defensive recruiting unit succeed more times than not when that happens (Jordan Jankins).
Crowder is ours if we want him. We just have to put forth the effort.

We're gonna have a great finish it's just a matter of how much space we have

We'll have enough for 5 or 6 more. Also depends on who goes pro.

worst offensive lineman in the history of offensive lineman. he set back the position decades. no, fricking eons. like we'd done better having parked mark richt's f150 out at RT because they have the same fricking mobility.

i want to meet the scouts who graded that he shouldve been drafted to begin with, i could care less about size

Taylor (Lamb). I just kind of like what they have going on down there with that program."

Lamb, who is committed to South Alabama, is the starting quarterback for the GHSA AA powerhouse Calhoun Yellow Jackets, and according to Crowder, the two have been friends for quite awhile.

I know Taylor's Brother. Good kid and a good WR.

Let me correct myself. Currently, assuming Jones and Tree go pro and Kwame, Smith and Murray don't, we take all the walkons that were awarded scholys away, and not adjusting factoring in attrition, we have room for 34 (4 more). Hard decision.

Johnson will pop first. This weekend I believe.
Then Kamara. Once they are done with the playoffs.
Tunsil is NSD and we will hold his spot.
So that's 3 of the 4.
Crowder wants to decide soon which makes me think we won't get him. The more I think about it the more I think we won't pursue him. Too many guards, none as good as him.
So that leaves Foster and Adams. Don't know when Foster is going to decide and Adams will be NSD. From the looks of it we really really want both.
Do we turn Kamara away if he tries to commit?

Numbers problem here. I have never seen us over recruit in anticipation of attrition and in order for us to take 36 that is what we are going to have to do. I'm fairly certain two guys will move on from the program in some way shape or form, from now till the summer. Just don't think Richt will risk being in the situation of having to ask somebody/s to leave.

Wait, sorry. If we take Hall's away then we have room for 35.

Therefore, Crowder gets left out and the rest get in.

Us not going hard after Crowder might be an indication of Kwame staying. Just don't have room.

That really sucks, because we should never turn down OL/DL guys. Dammit...

and now you see why over recruiting provides such an advantage to teams that do it.

I guarantee you by the time summer practice rolls around we'll be down two scholarship players even if we sign 35. Imagine being Alabama and actually cutting kids that aren't contributing.

You guys are going back and forth on the caps.

Our caps are two fold: number of qualifiers who can be accepted per class (25 for 2013 and 25 for class of 2012). We can offer and sign up to the cap of 25 (13)+10 EEs (12) who may be rolled back to 2012 because 2 of our 17 in 2012 were rolled back to 2011, leaving 15.

We can sign 35 in Jan.\Feb. but no more than that.

We can't "oversign" past that cap of 35.

I think, therefore, 36 is a bogus number on the cap max on class sizes.

However, we CAN oversign versus the cap of 85, and probably will.

Even if we do take away all the walkon ships given (16 max), all 12 seniors, Jarvis and Tree, that means we have 30 spots against that cap.

I'm thinking we'll lose at least a couple to "graduate early" or due to medical hardship.

If Murray goes pro, that's 1 more spot on the 85 open. We're still two short.

If Murry doesn't go pro, then there may be a QB to transfer. We're still two short.

I think we'll lose a MLB commit if Foster announces he's committed to UGA. Hope not.

I'm guessing at least 2 of our 35 commits will end up at JUCO or Hargrave. So, without Foster, we can still get in 2 OLs, 2 DE\DTs, and 1 RB, 35.

If he does commit, we may have a decommit anyway, so we'd still be at 35.

Kwame or Smith leaving early won't help us with the cap of 35, but that would help with the cap of 85.

Hope, I mean really hope, Kwame and Smith stay with us.

I'm thinking we'll lose a soft commit or something, or a kid will back off at the last minute.

Anyway, I say we'll take Crowder if he wants to commit, and figure that we'll make it under the cap of 35 anyway, even if all 5 of our other guys
sign with us.

Not to disagree with the Mighty Swin, but I'm thinking the cap is 35, not 36, but we still take all 6 if they commit, and if we lose a couple of our commits on signing day or just before, and Tunsil or Crowder go elsewhere, Seymore is a Dawg.

No disrespect meant by the "Mighty Swin", just a little humor.

I do think that we have recruited to one or two over the cap of 85 in the past, figuring that not everyone would be qualified by August, and usually ended up with less than 85 recruited scholarship guys that fall anyway. (One or two were non-qualifiers, and two or three quit the team in the spring or summer anyway.)

Swin has been right most of the time I have disagreed with him.

Radi seems to think UGA signs between 34 and 36.

I also don't see us pulling Merritt Hall's scholly as he will probably return from injury and be our starter at FB again next year.

Bring in Johnson, Adams, Tunsil, Foster, and Kamara (Adams is the biggest question mark of the 5), call it 35, and get cracking on 2014.

We had 3 EEs. Marshall, Bauta and Beard. Therefore, 36 per the 25+EE rule.
