I'll be at the Vandy SC game this thursday...I'm torn between wanting South Carolina to lose and for CJF to have an aneurism.

SC is a threat in the east. We need them to lose as many games as possible. I'm also over the whole Franklin/Grantham/Williams situation. I expect him to grow up and honestly after that video of him giving that FB a scholarship in front of the whole team I respect the guy. That was pretty cool.

The guy is extremely polarizing to me: He does stuff like that which is great (every other team also does similar stuff...UGA included). But calling out Dawson's character for switching his commitment while flipping a recruit that pledged to another school is just plain hypocritical. That and the UGA game last year kinda makes me hate him.

What's the free lot? I'm unsure about what I'm going to do as far as parking goes. I lived in the retreat last year and was able to walk to campus and I could do the same this year if I wanted but I'd like to find a close option if I'm going to be driving anyway.

When I need free parking I have always, and will always go to ECV. Then walk or bus it up River to the stadium.

Look, I get what Grantham is trying to do. The whole "We're soooo not a bunch of pussies!!!OKAY?!", thing. The tough guy routine. If your goal is to try and convince people you're a badass the whole time, then you're not really a badass. It comes off phony.
He's trying to emulate Saban, but he's just not doing it right.

Yes you are. Franklin got in the face of Shawn Williams after the game for being overly aggressive with his hits. Grantham angrily went to the defense of his player. Grantham didn't just decide- Hey I think I need to go crazy to prove I am a tought guy against Vandy's coach.

No he is not. As crazy as this sounds to anyone within your fanbase, not every coach is trying to emulate Saban. Amazing huh? Just because he spent some time with Saban as a coach 15 yrs ago doesn't mean that its his hero or something.

Grantham was walking out to shake Franklin's hand when you see Franklin pointing ad yelling at Shawn Williams. Grantham turns his head to see who/what Franklin is yelling at and when he realizes that he's yelling at Williams, Grantham goes off. This was also after Vandy's center dives at Kwame Geather's knee from behind, stands up, and gives a thumbs up to Vandy's sideline. Could he have handled it better? Definitely. Was he out of line? Perhaps. But I do think he was justified.

I watched the video and see that now, it wasnt completely unprovoked. But still, Grantham took it to an completely unnecessary level. Like I said before, I think it has more to do with an image that he's trying to project.
