It wouldn’t surprise me, either!

My gut is thinking 10-2. My heart is hoping for only a UGA loss, or even more a dream scenario of breaking into a new division with an undefeated season.

But I'd happily settle for 10-2, and a playoff berth.

I'd rather lose to Michigan than Georgia if I get to choose.

I get your point. Undefeated in conference play is great, but I think we'll play UGA in the SEC title game. It's tough to beat a team twice in one season.

I love your optimism. I’m not quite there. If the team stays healthy, perhaps it’s possible. Either way, I’m so excited to be playing this schedule.

I just hope the team doesn't start the way I've grown to know Texas football. Start out 4-0 then drop the OU game and 3 more that you had no business losing. I'm still saying 9-3. But I want to win the damn sec championship in year one and tell all these airheaded buffoons oh what was that about Texas can't compete?

But I'll temper the expectations till I see the first game.

If our DL and secondary hold up we can compete and beat anyone on any given day. Going to be interesting to see how Baxter develops and how much Blue and Weisner play. I expect more development and output from our DE’s. Our OL and passing attack should be lights out.

Spot on assessment IMO.

Is it bad im getting alittle bit of optimism? I havent felt like this in a long long time. Havent felt this good about our team since colt was here. But my god, if texas runs through this schedule without a loss, in our first year in the SEC, im gonna go nuts.

Not at all! I’m there with you.

Between Uga, OU, Ags at night at Kyle & Michigan at the Bug House, there’s one L in there. But, we could easily have 2 & still make the playoffs which is what I’m looking forward to.

We still optimistic after the recent developments at the RB back position?

Different team without Baxter.

You're still thick @ RB. I don't think it really matters considering that the team has a lot of depth. GL to you guys

Blue
Wisner
Gibson
Niblett
Gullette

I really like Blue this year.. thought he could be RB1 even before Baxter got hurt. But Baxter did look better (healthy) in the Spring game.. either way, I think Sark and Choice have a lot of options at RB despite the injuries.

Wingo - Deebo style
Kobe Black
Ty Smith
Hill - if shite really goes sideways

Some of those options may not work, or maybe there are others.. there is a decent 3 star walk-on as well, I forget his name right now. RB is one of those positions where a serviceable replacement can be found imo.

I wonder if Savion is wishing he stayed in Austin. Obviously no way to know, but feel like he’d get a ton of playing time this year.

Yeah he didn't really move the needle that much. Much rather have Blue.

maybe I'm wrong but I thought we had as good or better O-Line as anyone out there. If so, we should be ok.

Don’t know how many games you watched today, but I watched Georgia vs Clemson, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Texas, checked in on Alabama, and now watching A&M & Notre Dame.

I thought we looked pretty good. We appear to be a very well-rounded team.
