Why give so much of a frick? There's nothing you can do to control it. Just let things play out. We're not the bitchy alums that must win championships every year on we commit suicide. That makes the game unenjoyable.

Accept it. We are not a good football program. Stop hoping for it. Ain't happening. Just take it one game at a time. Celebrate the W and forget the L. Just quit caring so much. Bad for your health.

I can respect that. But are you saying our football program right now is shite? I don't see that at all. No way do I think we're there yet, but I think we're pretty close to being legit. And legit in the SEC West.

We will purpetually a year away. If anyone thinks next year will be better, you're mistaken. Ain't happening. We don't cheat enough for that.

Yes, I'm an a-hole for pointing this out:

... but I'm a fluent English speaking a-hole and could not help myself.

You're worked up. I get it. Things have turned bad, Spavital should be fired and Kyle Allen is apparently a basket case. But as another degenerate already pointed out, staying away from games will have absolutely no effect on the AD budget unless you're a BMA. And even those guys are locked in to long-term contracts for their suites. Stopping your support is a meaningless gesture. Cancel your season tickets? Fine, there's a waiting list.

Unless you're a BMA then all the talk about "paid good money" is empty. No you haven't. You've paid for tickets to a game, maybe tossed in a few grand to the AD every year. What do you think you've earned? If you don't want to go to any more games, then stop going. Simple.

I'm probably the last guy who should be responding here, as I'll return to A&M for the first time since 1985 for the USC game. But my support won't go away because of a winning season.

Another degenerate already pointed out, but it bears repeating: I'm amazed at the number of people who think throwing money at a problem will cure everything. It won't. Never has.

I dunno about that. People forget how awful both Alabama and LSU were before Saban and... well, Saban.

I agree with this, unfortunately. Our loaded home schedule goes away next year when we should be better but will have a much tougher schedule. At least we get the Tigers at home.

This is such a sip attitude. The more elitist we are as a fanbase, the better we'll be on the field. It's just flat out not true and reeks of what older generations rip on millennials for being: entitled little shits. Yesterday was TERRIBLE, one of the most painful games I've watched. But acting like going into a frothing rage, shuffling up the entire coaching staff, and throwing someone else's money at the problem is a solution is ludicrous. Something needs to change (OC, QB...), but I guarantee the solution isn't for fans to stop showing up to games or to bitch more on message boards.

I didn't want to come out and say it directly, because I didn't want to be hurtful, but we were all thinking it

"Powerhouse" teams who have NEVER won a national title in their history:

Baylor
Oregon
Utah

Stanford's last national title was one year after ours.

I'm not trying to call out anyone in particular, I just hope our fans don't act that way. When it comes right down to it, that attitude equates to plugging your ears and stomping your feet outside the store until Mom buys you your toy.

Wait. What? Did you even read anything up to this point? Where has anybody mentioned being more "elitist" as a fanbase? And what the frick does elitism have to do with not settling for mediocrity?

If your team at work is slacking, are you an elitist as a boss for telling them to shape up?

If you think me "entitled" because I want to see the football team I've supported my whole life and the school I spend years at busting my arse to get a degree win a fricking conference title at least once every goddamn decade, then I guess I am. So the frick what?

I've never said throwing money at the problem helps. We've already done that, and they just waste what they have. I'm saying they need to make changes in order to find people who do know how to spend the money wisely.
