Confirmed, these tickets are the weakest I can remember. Also not stoked about stubhub, can we still print off at the gate from cards linked to our account?

Came out a few days ago that Okeke is out for the season with a torn ACL. He has mainly been running second team rover, but had been getting some reps on first team.

Our LB depth this season is going to be terrible. If Dodson or Alaka go out for any extended time, walk ons will be getting a lot of snaps.

It was rumored but haven’t seen anything confirming that yet.

I think its safe to assume the worse with okeke. Luckily it sounds like what's wrong with Hines is minor and he shouldn't miss too much time

Recruiting at LB is something that bothered me so much during the Sumlin era. Not only did Sumlin recruit poorly at the position, but it also seemed like he took the minimum amount of players needed. Every damn season since 2012, we have not only lacked good Linebackers but also lacked depth as well.

For a guy who played LB in college, Sumlin sure went out of his way to frick us (and himself in the process) in that position.

I raged about it the whole time he was coach. He deprioritized LB as much as he possibly could. Then he took one of the few LB we had with him to Arizona. I’m so glad he’s gone. Damn, he really left us in a hole on defense. We’ve got a $75MM coach who is going to have to field walkons at LB in the frakin SEC thanks to Kool Kevin.

I got a feeling we will all be raging this season as well.

Sumlin will be the gift that will keep on giving for the next two years.

It just boggles the mind. How can it be explained? You ‘raged’, I beat my head against the wall.

This board is pretty dead considering our first game is Thursday.

Who is the starting QB? There’s chatter that Jimbo prefers Mond

Mond has the most potential of the two. I have a feeling that Starkel's ceiling is Mark Farris or Dustin Long.

Under someone like Sumlin, who doesn't develop talent for shite, you need the more polished player in place. Under someone like Fisher, however, you use the one who "gets it" first, then maximize his potential.

I always thought that if Starkel put on some lbs and gained more pocket discipline, he’d be the sure fire start.

I think Mond has more experience and if Jimbo helped him not he such a turnover machine, he gets the nod.

I’m for whoever Jimbo thinks helps us produce results immediately

I just can’t fathom Mond has progressed that much in 8 months. He looked unworthy of an FBS scholarship against MSU and Auburn.

But that was under Sumlin's system.

But how much of that is the fault of the playcalling and the offense of line/scheme ?

I’ll reserve my judgment on my end for the time being.

Jared Goff looked like a bust at QB under Jeff Fisher for the Rams. Under Sean McVay he looks like a competent QB. Coaching matters.

I don't think Jimbo is putting much weight in his QB decision for 2018 based on what we saw in 2017.

How is the D looking? Any good news out of camp from scrimmages?

I hear you guys about LB recruiting...read something on the rant the other day. Mentioned Aranda confronted Miles about having an equal # of scholarship kickers and LB's at one point

Unless you can coach him how to throw accurately...

I remember a lot of people writing of Mond after his first start as never going to be good enough, then praising him as an amazing player after his good Arkansas game (I think it was that one), and subsequently writing him back off and saying he shouldn’t start in games after that.

All that to say, no clue but I do hope that Mond is showing something at practices worthy of the 4 stars he got on most recruiting sites. Just because Jimbo does like more of a pro style offense doesn’t mean Mond can’t be the guy to run iteven though he’s a bit of a scrambler.

Starkel has had some good flashes too, but has also had some times where he just never looked comfortable in the pocket and rushed a lot of throws. Either way I do think Jimbo has something to work with at QB this year and we should be serviceable at the position. Got a lot more positions I’m worried about this year.

Starkel forces some things instead of taking what's given to him. But he's got much better accuracy than Mond IMHO.

I'm not sure why people consider Mond a runner. He isn't particularly fast and he lacks vision as a runner. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised by Mond this season. I'm pulling for both of them.
