I was losing my mind after that hit. My roommate wZ dead aimed. The Frog who got smoked was a high school teammate of his. On a slightly positive note, the kid did t remember the hit.

I believe that gas a Thursday night game.

No, it was a Saturday night game.

I was just out of school and living in Dallas, and I asked a girl I had just met to go over to FW for the game (her dad was an Ag, Class of 60-something). She lived east of me, so we met at my place. She came to the door wearing a cute little short, light jacket and jeans. I asked her if she thought she would be warm enough, and she said she would be fine. (probably did not weigh 100 soaking wet).

When we got to FW and started to walk to the stadium, she got this strange look on her face, so I asked what was wrong. She thought we were going to a BASKETBALL game and had dressed accordingly.

I offered to skip the game and head out to dinner or a bar or something, but she said she wanted to go to the game because she had told her dad what she was doing. I gave her my parka, pulled my overcoat out of the trunk, off we went. DAMN I was cold!

But it all worked out later.

tulane vs la tech in the superdome circa late 90's I think. we were sitting second deck in one of the end zones a few rows up. guys on the first row against the rail are absolutely hammered. As this was a minor game in an NFL stadium there were all kinds of vendors and whatnot that weren't open. These guys went for a little walk and came back with an empty 5-gallon water jug. They proceeded to empty their pockets and put a couple golf balls and a bunch of change into the jug to beat against the rail as a noise maker. Well eventually the inevitable happened and the jug broke, showering coins, golf balls, and jug pieces all over the lower deck.

The culprits took off and we thought they had bailed...until they showed back up 10 minutes later with a giant umbrella off a dove ice cream vendor cart. They then huddled under the umbrella for shelter and proceeded to taunt the lower deck that they were now ready for their return fire. Good times.
