"I'm sure I may be criticized for this post but I honestly don't care. I've not once commented on Kevin Sumlin and his performance during his tenure at our school. I never said a word when he and his agent manipulated a bigger and longer contract. I said nothing about his arrogance and his mishandling of multiple player controversies. I said nothing when we had awesome recruiting classes, only to see them leave our school or underperform. But tonight I am very disappointed. And I'm speaking out. Kevin Sumlin was out coached tonight, which isn't new. Our players were better. Our players were more talented. But our coaches were dominated. I'm only one vote on the Board of Regents but when the time comes my vote will be that Kevin Sumlin needs to GO. We owe it to our school and our players. We can do better."

Was just trying to read about it on texags but the thread got deleted. They're going full on North Korea level censoring over there. Any thread about sumlin being fired gets deleted.

Why are they desperately trying to keep the site positive and in sumlin's good graces? He ain't going to be here much longer.....

Texags stands to lose a lot when Rumlin gets fired. No shocker the mods are censoring

Seems an emotional reaction. I've never been a fan of emotional reactions. What really concerns me is a regent who somquickly airs the dirty laundry in public like this. He has to know that this does nothing to help the program or our players.

What would help the program and the players would be getting rid of Sumlin!

I didn't like it at first when I read it, people in high positions shouldn't be so reactive, blah blah blah.....

But if we had more decision makers in our system that deman results and aren't afraid to communicate it like that, maybe we'd actually get somewhere. So therefore I like it.

Where was he a year ago? The writing has been on the wall for a while now.

To be fair, things went from bad to historically bad last night. Nobody but us remembers 59-0, but this game will be a trivia question for decades to come and is probably going to be one of the defining moments in CFB this year.

Texags.com has accepted the inevitable. The entire front page of both boards is filled with posts about Sumlin, and can him NOW

Still trying to understand this. No clue who this guy is. If he's legit in terms of his professional BOR responsibilities, the only way I can make sense of this is that there is still significant BOR resistance to firing Sumlin, and this guy decided to take a shite in the middle of the floor to force the issue. If there was already a critical mass opposed to Sumlin, why do this?

I think you answered your own question. It's the board members that don't follow/don't care about football at all that are the targets here. There's at least 3-4 in that category.

Here's my guess as to where each of the Regents stood before Sunday: (Yes or no to firing)

Schwartz - He's a t-sip so a no vote
Mendoza - No vote. She was one of the ones responsible for the current contract
Adams - Likely yes vote
Albritton - Likely yes vote
Buzbee - Guaranteed yes vote
Foster - The other one responsible for the Sumlin contract. No vote.
Leach - Undecided
Mahomes - No vote. He's not going to vote to fire the school's first black coach
Thomas - Yes vote.

Right now, if I had to guess, you've got 4 yes and 4 no votes with one on the fence. Buzbee basically just shamed Mendoza and Foster for their involvement in the contract.

Not impressed by Buzzbee. I would think someone in his position would have a bit more discretion. A Facebook post is cheap and classless. A true power player would have been on the phone with key folks saying Sumlin needs to go now. You make these moves behind the scenes not on social media.

Why tip Sumlin supporters like this? Guarantee you that within 12 hours Buzzbee himself was getting undermined by other power players because he came at this like a fricking child.

He only added to the overall embarrassment in my opinion.

Maybe he was on the phone behind the scenes and they still refused. Now he's putting them in a situation where they have to defend Sumlin.
