The ideal scenario is that we steal LSU's berth and make them cry.

Stealing LSU's berth would be absolutely hysterical. \
First things first though, let's take care of Mississippi State Saturday.

I say no. He needs to keep winning. It's meaningless if we lose to MSU or go 0-1 in the SECT.

Even if all goes great. We win 3-4 more. Go dancing. Make the round of 32. Then he's secure, easily. But I still worry about recruiting. Is he really bringing in guys good enough to win it all or at least make a real run?

I am also worried about recruiting. This team has problems against squads that play good defense. Alabama is not that - their defense is terrible

After 78 games at A&M.

Buzz Williams: 43-35
Billy Kennedy: 41-37

After 45 conference games at A&M.

Buzz Williams: 20-25
Billy Kennedy: 15-30

Being just a little better than Kennedy was is not the bar we should be measuring against. Don't you agree?

Seriously, Buzz would be fine if he could recruit worth a damn. Unfortunately we have a severe talent disadvantage every time we step on the court

Of course I agree, but Billy Kennedy's publicist (pat) is the last person who should criticize the current coaching staff, just like Klarvin, who wanted Chad Morris, is the last person who should criticize Fisher.

Sure would have been nice if he didn’t run off the top tier talent that was handed to him.

Admon Gilder - Would have been starting SG. Top player on two of our Sweet 16 teams. Our #2 scorer behind Tyler Davis his last two seasons. Went on to score 11 PPG for 31-2 Gonzaga that would have been a #1 seed in the NCAAT.

TJ Starks - Starting PG, one of our top scorers and easily our most explosive player. Went on to score 22 PPG for Cal State Northridge.

Brandon Mahan - Likely starter. Averaged 12 PPG last season and #2 scorer at UCF, shooting 90%+ FTs.

Not this season. He was a 5th year senior in 2019-2020.

Left in Kennedy's final season.

Got Quinten Jackson instead. Fair trade.

20-11 (9-9) to end the year.

It's real simple now. 22-12 or better to make the dance. 24-11 gets the auto bid.

The point was 8uzz ran him off. Would have been much better to have him in 19-20.

Looks like this morning we have moved up to the "Next 4 Out" line. That said, we also appear to be a lock for the NIT in a worst case scenario.

I'd just like to see the team playing after the SEC tournament.

i would have taken a 20 win year and a NIT berth during the preseason. but its hard not be frustrated with how everything turned out. easy tournament team if we do things a little differently

Here's the strange thing: Could Marcus Williams' midseason breakdown have been the problem? We're 4-0 since his "leave of absence".

I feel like one of those “next 4 out” teams always throws the bracketologists for a loop and sneaks in. It will get interesting for sure if y’all can win 2 in tampa along with some other teams losing in other conference tournaments
