A turnover when the opponent is playing tough D is one thing, but an unforced turnover from a forced or lazy play is another and we make a lot of those. That said, nine TOs for the fame isn't terrible. I just hate wasted opportunites and lost possessions.

Need to clean up shot selection as well. Jones shot way to many 3s early in the shot clock. I'd much rather see them work it around or go inside out and get a shot in rhythm.

I agree with 3nOut that the Ark game still stings (another one of those wsated opportunities). We never should have lost that one, but today was a solid, high profile win that should really help come seeding time.

The only freshman that brought it was Davis
Hogg did have a couple timely threes, a few key boards and some tips to keep possessions alive. Not nearly the impact as Davis, but he helped. His length also helped when we went big.

He also was not physical in the paint when he was playing the 4. He got his shite stuffed. Missed on some boards. And wasn't (isn't) strong enough to stop some of their put backs.

Not saying he didn't have mistakes, just saying he contributed. Softness is definitely a weaknesses. Hopefully that will improve drastically by next year

Hogg will benefit from an off-season weightlifting program. Trocha needs it again too.

William McDowell White ( 4* Scout 4* Rivals) is in on an OV this weekend. Hop makes it sound like we have a great shot at landing him. He's one of the top Australia.

So with USC winning today, we now lead UK, LSU, and USC by only 1 game. I fully expect USC to fall down a few spots with their next 2 weeks @UGA, @A&M, LSU, & UK. UK only has 2 games vs teams outside the top 100 and its UT twice. They get 4 games vs top 40 RPI teams with 2 being on the road. I am really starting to think the game in College Station decides the SEC champion. LSU has some tough road trips too and us at their house. We have the most favorable schedule remaining with both SC & UK coming to Reed plus games vs Ole Miss, State, @Miz, @Aub. We need to win all 4, split the rest. 14-4 should be enough to earn a share of the title at a minimum.

All I care about is winning enough games to lock up a two or a three seed so we avoid our bracket's #1 until the elite 8.

That and earning one of these.

really don't know what to make of SC. They've yet to play a top 50 RPI opponent on the season. That's a little hard to believe at this point. The SEC has 3 others (us, UF, UK) and they still have to play us all but only once each and then maybe in the SECT.

Also they are all of 3-2 on the road on the season (tbf, so are we but I'd consider that the one real bad mark on us). That's an exceedingly thin resume.

That said, it's not easy to win every game. It's college basketball and everyone has off nights. So 18-2 is impressive.

I'm honestly not sure if we should be worried about them or not.

I've set my standards to realistic achievements. All I want is for us to break the 30 year spell on a regular season conference championship.
