frick, it sounds like we are the popular "underdog" pick to make the Final 4.
We were in 2007 too. We all know what happened there.

We couldn't get a board and the clutchest man in sports missed a lay up.

And Calipari bitched about having to play us in San Antonio.

Weak. We earned the home court as a 3 seed.
Now the BS UL got in the round before was straight up disrespectful.

so I'll see the UWGB game. Not sure about Sunday, though, but it'll be fun to watch all the games on Friday. Y'all should have a pretty nice run.
:csb:
eta: off-topic, i'd really want to go to Reliant for the FF too, but ugh.

I just read shaggy. Those dumbasses expect us to lose to Green Bay and if do make it they'll win because we only play good at home.
I guess they forgot the 11 point loss away from home.

At this point, I really wouldn't be surprised to see y'all end up with a top 3 seed.

Shocked (but happy) we got a 3 seed. I figured the only way that would happen is if we won the SEC tourney. UK must be pretty mad with their 4 seed. Surprised at the potential match up with tu given we played them earlier this year. Can't wait for Tuesday!!

Damn I'm stoked. March Madness is the shite, and when your team makes the dance it reaches a new level of awesome.
Anybody heading to Vegas for the opening round?

really cant be upset with our draw. we get a team that we outmatch in the first round with green bay, a possible upset watch in the second round OR a texas team we beat pretty soundly with jalen only getting a handful of minutes AND when they had a healthy calvin ridley (neither will happen on sunday), an OU team that is the perfect setup for a team that loses in the tourney do to a) our advantage in size and b) the fact that they rely so much on outside shooting, and then an elite 8 with one of the weaker 1 seeds OR a baylor team that we arse fricked OR a duke team that doesnt know how to play defense

The fact that our draw is so good on paper and everyone is picking us to go the Final 4 makes me concerned

I'm just happy I have the tournament to look forward to this year and I don't have to jump on the bandwagon for some school like Dayton or Wichita State

1st, this Calvin Ridley guy y'all keep talking about plays football at Bama
Cameron Ridley is the Texas player.
I think you match up really well with Texas because of your size. Texas generally plays 3 smaller guards, 1 slower power forward, and a good defensive center against driving guards but struggles against a good post player (Tyler Davis).
Jones and House are absolute match up nightmares for Texas, and Texas is going to have to get some help from the refs (need A&M to get in foul trouble) and are going to have to shoot lights out to have a chance.
OU is a good match up as well because they're so similar to Texas. A slow 4 (Spangler), a defensive 5 (Lattin), and three guards. The biggest difference is OU has Buddy Hield who has been the best player in the NCAA this year.
I know I've been really bullish on your team all year, but I think this sets up for a good chance at a Final 4 for y'all.

I haven't watched much of Texas besides when we played them so I'm not sure how they've progressed.
I've seen OU play and honestly, I agree we'd be a really bad matchup for them. Heild is an amazing player but we've done a really good job of slowing down one guy. Murray plays a similar role for UK and was MIA for long stretches.
In an OT game (he played 44 of 45 minutes and amazingly Ullis played all 45), we broke his 12 game streak of scoring 20+. He ended up 5 for 14 from the field. If we can limit Hield in a similar manner, OU is very beatable

I'm usually a sunshine pumper, I know, but from a pure basketball matchup standpoint, OU doesn't scare me at all.
