Is a two man class good though? I honestly don't know much about bball recruiting I was just comparing last years class with this years. I would like to keep up with it more now though. When is NSD?

Hop dropped this little recap the other day.
quote:
William McDowell-White is a highly-rated Australian point guard that visited A&M about three weeks ago. He also visited Arizona State and Oregon, and may take more visits when he comes back to the U.S.
Deshawn Corprew is a muscular guard who can play any of the perimeter positions including point guard. He was in College Station last weekend for a tournament and the Kentucky game. I published an interview w/ highlight clips about 5 days ago so search the recent articles on TexAgs to see it.
They are also recruiting the top youth prospect in Spain, Eric Vilas Martinez, who is a 6-foot-9 small forward with great range who runs the floor well. He played in the NBA All-Star Weekend Basketball Without Borders event as one of the best foreign youth players in the world. The Australian guard was there as well.
They are kicking the tires and talking to a couple of JUCO guards, most notably Niem Stevenson. There will be others that pop up, but Corprew, McDowell-Whie, and Vilas appear to be the top priorities at the moment.

there are two periods. Two guys are already signed. There's a spring period that starts April 13th.
Is 2 good? It's not bad. There are only 12 scholarships spread among 4 years so 3 is "normal." We'll take a few more in this class though (plus most likely a JUCO/grad transfer). We're looking at a few foreign prospects

I have a hard time getting my head around "6-foot-9" and "small" in the same phrase.

Steph Curry is 6'3", for reference. He looks tiny on the court, but I as an average white American male (5'11", ~160 pounds) would still be dwarfed by the guy. NBA (and even college) players are incredible specimens.

Hah, unless I am missing something small is used to describe the position he plays (small forward) and not his actual size. Power forwards are usually a few inches taller (not always), but almost always several pounds bigger.
