Agreed. By no means have I given up on Conner. But what Marcel did Saturday night was some extra special stuff. Nuts, really. I just don’t see — given what was at stake Saturday night — how Marcel is not the starter now. If he can’t get it done in Columbia, then by all means see what Conner can do. The comparison I’m seeing is Lamar Jackson. And we can’t forget that Marcel is not what he was a month ago in terms of his feel for the game and his grasp of the offense. This kid is special, IMHO.

Marcel can start for the next three years. Weigman will likely go at the end of the season if he loses the starting job for good. Finding the right QB is a hell of a tough job. You got O'Neill on the bench, a 2025 four or five star coming in and another QB lined up for 2026. How you treat these guys is important. Weigman has another year of eligibility if he were to find his groove. Now I think he has some confidence issues. I didn't see the first half. But from what I've gathered, it seems his OLine didn't do a lot of favors. We need to see a complete and more polished game in SC.

And by the way, the regular internet, Finebaum and other "experts" are giving a lot of love to SC for what that's worth.

I have to believe SC is scheming to stop that late pull back of the ball from the running back for a Reed run right now. With LSU it was lightning in a bottle. I want to see the versus Ok State Marcel who threw for over 300 yards.

If Reed is the starter Saturday (and moving forward) he’s gonna have to hit some passes. He’s very capable of this, but he’s gonna have to throw it. USCe is gonna do everything in their power to shut down his legs (duh). He has the arm, just gotta connect with the WRs

Was 21 of 33 for 361 yards against Oklahoma State last year when he was QB 3. Let SC think he is just a running QB. His receivers have to help him.

Oh I’m not denying that he has the ability to sling it around. I’m just ready to see him do it.

This is a very interesting matchup. Sellers is really good and ref nonsense aside we’d absolutely have lost had he not got injured right before halftime. Their DL is pretty athletic and as usual good athletes all over but they can be thrown on. So Weigman might not be dead just yet. Both should play.

The RB is pretty good too. They have some good weapons. These are the games i think having a defensive minded head coach will be a positive.

Going back and forth but i’ll take a&m in a close one because you can’t underestimate momentum.

I lost a bet that LSU would have 10 or more false starts against us, so I had to have the LSU logo for one day.

I've officially learned my lesson: no more bets of any kind.

I was excited after they had 7 FS against Arkansas in the first half, but I realized about a day after making that bet that it was a bad idea.

Do you guys think we have the most effective defense SCar will have faced to this point?

SC and A&M are much alike. This game concerns me. Get through this one, and we are looking at a 10 W season

It will be a dogfight for sure, but I go back to the defense. Every game, they've stepped up. It wasn't their fault we lost the ND game.

If we're within 2 scores at the half, we win. Elko's halftime adjustments are insane.

It would be nice to see us do something like Georgia did to utrans Completely crushed them for the entire first half and have four score lead going into third-quarter

If we're up by 25+ by the half, we might as well write our ticket to the SECCG game.

I feel relaxed. I like SCar, and they're solid. It's a road game in a hostile environment. If we lose, okay. Nothing to be ashamed of and should get the guys in the right mindset for the home stretch of the season. If we win...

Future road game opponent Auburn looks like awful. Can't assume that will game be a win, but it's pretty clear that tonight's game is the most significant challenge standing between us and Armageddon vs Texas Thanksgiving weekend
