This. Apparently all the top players in the state this year are shady characters so tu has stopped pursuing them, if you read shaggybevo or whatever its called now.

247 updated their rankings, we got a few nice bumps, like Cupp now being ranked a 95, and a composite score of .94.

But they inexplicably dropped Williams almost 40 spots, and out of the top 10 Texas 247 ranking, which dropped his composite to a high 4 star.

AGGIE COMMITS (8)
Kenyon Green - ranked No. 27
DeMarvin Leal - ranked No. 43
Baylor Cupp - ranked No. 49
Demani Richardson - ranked No. 75
Brian Williams - ranked No. 76

Erick Young - ranked No. 183
LB Andre White Jr. - ranked No. 194

LB Andre White Jr. - rose from No. 195 to No. 194

DROPS

247 is a joke here is what they posted about Brian Williams 4 days ago.

quote:

2 A&M DB commits earn The Opening all-tourney defensive honors
Dallas Bishop Dunne 5-star safety Brian Williams and Fort Bend Bush 4-star cornerback Erick Young were two standouts who made the team. Williams played for Team Boomin', while Young who committed to the Aggies the day after The Opening came to a conclusion, played for Team Hype.

Williams is ranked the nation's No. 2 safety and the No. 25 overall player in the 2019 class, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. He made a handful of plays in helping team Boomin' to the 7-on-7 championship game. One of Williams' biggest plays of the event came against Team Impact, where he made a momentum-changing interception returned for a touchdown.

Man just looking at the class distribution - if we get 9 more and hold onto the ones we've got, then we have to purge 19(!!!) guys on current roster by June 2019.

ETA - I already accounted for 2018 Seniors.

But it’s definitely time for us to all accept that our recruiting is going much better than we expected.

I’m very pleased.

Koolaid may be on tap by fall....

I expected top 5 with his staff (assuming we have an average upcoming season)

Where are we with linebackers? I’m tired of being limited there.

Erick Young’s dad bitched slapped EJ on twitter, after EJ tried and say tu didn’t want Young and weren’t pushing for him. LINK

As far a linebackers.

Dean is still at the top of our list, but going to be a tough fight for all the schools that want him.

Diabate is a player that hasn’t been talked about a lot, but there is a high level of interest between both.

Harris is trending to the good guys.

I’m sure a few names will pop up during the season, and a few will fade away.

Can we take all 3 of those guys. Lol.

We could get a few decommits during the year if we land a very solid player or two as well. That does happen.
