Why is jimbo having such a difficult time identifying and locking down a stud qb for the future? If there was one thing I thought he’d be able to do fairly quickly it was identifying
his qb, and locking his commitment down given his track record and area of expertise.

This team isn’t going to win big with the current qbs. Sure we could have a nice season down the road perhaps, but we aren’t winning the west or more with these guys.

Seems like there is only 1 QB in state that is elite and he was committed, but we've all seen how up and down Gunnell's recruitment has been.

It seems like he's getting in late on kids out of state (these guys have been recruited since before Jimbo accepted the job). Hillinski picked USC. Mertz was already a Wisco commit and he's working to flip him. Calzada & Mauer seem like the next options. Calzada must be a late bloomer since he got so many low level offers, but now he seems to be getting better ones (UCLA, UGA, OSU, A&M). Mauer has several WVU CBs all throughout 2018. We may have been too late there.

I disagree. I think Foster could be a stud with a couple years development

Yeah the gunnell situation is just strange, and doesn’t make sense. I don’t blame jimbo for that.

I am happy that gunnell committed out of state though, and not in our division just in case he happens to be decent.

Also, please tell me we have some big time bruising LBs committed from out of state.

Yeah, I guess I kind of forget about him since he came on so late and I’m not really familiar with him.

Is Jimbo still recruiting Marquez Beason? Any chance he flips from Illinois?

I think Starkel could actually be pretty good this year.

Idk. I feel like starkel just is who he is at this point. A kid who will throw some great balls, and then the next play throw an incredible pick. Plus I doubt the line gives him much of a chance this year.
