What are some of the other sites saying about Gunnell? Have a buddy with a premium sub on texags say that basically he’s not going to have further communication with this staff and somehow LSU is the leader now.....really?
Weird that a kid goes from committed to not wanting to talk to us in a matter of a few weeks, and said he wants to play in a spread system, so he goes and talks to LSU...... is it because we signed the 4 star guy this year?
Damn shame, I thought Jimbo would be able to reel him back in over a few months but I guess we better start looking elsewhere if it’s true.

I’m not sure why this keeps coming up, Jimbo obviously doesn’t see Gunnell as a must get player and has his eyes on other qb options

He hasn’t given Gunnell confidence that we aren’t going to look at other QBs in the 19 class. That’s the main reason Gunnell has backed off. I have no idea why but I really don’t care.

I would much rather have him go to LSU than Arkansas if he’s not coming here. There is zero chance he gets developed/reaches his potential at LSU, so if he going somewhere in our division let it be there.

Last I had read on 247, Gunnell was leaning to Okie St because of the system, but he was still the top QB on Jimbos board and would still be heavily recruited by A&M.

Because according to him and several other places, that isn’t the case at all. Jimbo has said that he’s a top priority, it would not look at and/or recruit any other quarterback if Gunnel were to be committed.

when jimbo was first hired i saw an FSU fan that said how much jimbo loved gunnell and that he even almost committed when he was at FSU. then a month later theres reports of him questioning how he fits in jimbos offense. then he decommits and some that are supposed to be in-the-know say we are likely to just move on. i dont know what to believe anymore.
