LSU has been peddling the dual threat QB thing to Gunnell about Fisher QBs since we hired him
even though Fisher’s QBs probably run less than any other well known major college coach. It makes zero sense

So you’ve watched film on Foster and Gunnell and believe they’re the same?
Posted on 2/14/18 at 1:39 pm to Captain Crown
Foster had 4 more rushing attempts than Gunnell last season with only 70 more rushing yards. They are actually pretty similar on paper with their rushing stats.

Gilly is moving to fullback next year.

Good stuff. I just don’t see why y’all care about losing a QB so early on. Aggies have been gifted with 5*’s so hearing bitching is just laughable.

It's laughable to want a good QB in this class?
I haven't watched a ton of Foster, but Gunnell is fairly mobile. He's a pocket passer that can extend plays and run if he has to, but he's not a run-first type. He seems like a similar mold to say EJ Manuel.

Crystal Ball: Explaining the predictions on Texas A&M targets VIP Perroni
Texas A&M has a chance to put together a monster recruiting class in 2019. I have quite a few Crystal Ball predictions in for Aggie targets so figured I would explain why on each one.
-Houston St. Pius QB Grant Gunnell – Oklahoma State: Gunnell just decommitted from A&M last night and says he will still consider the Aggies. That is the case but I don’t see him ending up back on the commit list. A lot of people think Arkansas is the team to beat – and they are definitely in it – but he really likes the Oklahoma State offense.
-Klein Collins RB Isaiah Spiller – A&M: The four-star back committed to Oklahoma back in November but has been open about his interest in the Aggies. An A&M legacy, he wants to get to know the new staff and was recently at the Super Bowl Sunday event. I have a flip pick in for A&M – it was on A&M for a long time before his Sooner pledge as well – and I believe there’s a good chance he eventually ends up in maroon.
-Allen WR Theo Wease – A&M: Even without an offer from the old staff, the five-star receiver was always high on A&M. The recent visit to Aggieland with Team Texas helped the cause out even more. This one is not over by any means but there’s a reason his Crystal Ball is trending to the Aggies.
-Fort Bend Travis WR Arjei Henderson – A&M: Henderson and Wease want to play together and they once even committed to Oklahoma at the same time. Henderson was also incredibly impressed on that same visit to A&M and is close with the commits and top targets.
-Cuero WR Jordan Whittington – A&M: At various points over the past year, Whittington has favored both A&M and Texas. This pick was made when the Aggies were the favorite but this is the one that I have the least amount of confidence in. He says he plans to decide next month but I don’t think he knows where it will be yet.
-Fort Worth Southwest TE Nnamdi Adim-Madumere – A&M: The 6-3/225 standout receiver is likely a tight end at the next level. Coaches that have seen him in person expect him to see double-digit offers easily this spring. A&M was his first Power Five one, though, and he loved his visit to Aggieland. He likely won’t commit in the incredibly near future but I believe he ends up at A&M.
-Atascocita OT Kenyon Green - A&M: I think it probably is only a matter of time before the five-star tackle and state’s top prospect is on the A&M commit list. He has a visit this coming weekend to OU but that is the only other one he has planned at this time. He long had A&M very high but publicly named the Aggies on top after a visit a couple weekends back.
-Houston North Forest OT Javonne Shepherd – A&M: The 6-7/305 four-star tackle has said he wants to play with Green but, even without that, the Aggies have done an outstanding job recruiting him. It is going to be tough for another staff to build the same rapport as A&M has.
-Conroe Oak Ridge OT Tyler Johnson – Texas: The other of the ‘big three’ in the state, Johnson has a top three of A&M, OU and Texas but has seemingly always been a bit higher on the Longhorns. Having his teammate Joseph Ossai just sign with them does not hurt their cause either.
-Wellington OT Trevor Roberson – Texas Tech: A&M really likes the mammoth 6-11/340 tackle from the Panhandle. Jim Turner has been there several times. However, Texas Tech has long looked like the destination with it being closer to home.
-Katy Mayde Creek DE Marcus Stripling – A&M: The four-star defender has long been very high on A&M but the new staff has piqued that interest even more. Oklahoma is probably the biggest threat here but Stripling and Mowry seem likely to both end up in Aggieland. Stripling is in College Station quite often visiting friends on the team.
-Katy Taylor DE Braedon Mowry – A&M: Just like with Stripling, this looks to be an A&M/OU battle. He was very high on the Sooners early but A&M blew him away right after offering. Katy Taylor has been a pipeline to Aggieland as of late and I believe Mowry continues that trend.
-Huntsville DE T'Vondre Sweat – A&M: This is one I don’t have as much confidence in as some of the others. Sweat grew up a huge fan of the Aggies and was close to committing at one point. However, he was recently close to committing to Texas. He has legitimate transportation issues and has not been anywhere since receiving the A&M offer at camp last summer so he may take some officials.
-Fort Worth Nolan LB/DE NaNa Osafo-Mensah – Notre Dame: I posted about this one yesterday but I needed to changed my prediction from LSU as the four-star edge defender is not as high on the Tigers as he was. He is also high on A&M and Oklahoma – and could very well end up at either – but the Irish took the lead after a junior day in South Bend a couple weeks ago. The new Aggie defensive staff has a lot of time to work on him before his planned May commitment date, though.
-Dallas Bishop Dunne CB Marquez Beason – A&M: The national top 100 prospect was once an early Nebraska commit and, when he opened up his recruitment again, he seemed Texas-bound. However, now that he is excited about playing corner instead of receiver, A&M has made a huge jump with him. With his teammate Brian Williams already committed, it would not be a surprise
-Fort Bend Bush CB Erick Young – A&M: Young has built a solid rapport with the A&M staff and many thought he might commit soon after the recent Super Bowl Sunday event. The four-star defender plans to take some other visits but A&M is in very good position with him as he is really close to the Aggie commits and leans

We’ve offered like 15-20 in the last week, most in the SE and Midwest. I think there were a few from CA and one from Hawaii. Will be interesting to see how it shakes out
