But of course the key to any offense is the players executing it. His offense does need a good decision maker at QB to make the proper pre-snap read. It's unclear if that QB is currently on the roster.
But there isn't anything inherently flawed in his system. As with any system, it assumes the line blocks, the QB accurately passes, the WRs catch it, etc.

I can see Sumlin trying some shite like this and selling it as a way to try to increase the likelihood that he beats UCLA in the opener.

If Sumlin tries to pull that, he will probably be fired.
He will probably be fired anyway, just not until 2017.

I don't hate the Mazzone hire, and Klemm will probably come with him which is a good recruiting hire.
This probably saves Sumlin, but doesn't cool his seat.

Pretty sure klemm sucks as an OL coach, but he's a monster recruiter. We saw how that worked out with BJ Anderson.

Unless Klemm can deliver Hudson and Little, it's no good.
Our offensive line hasn't been developed for shite under Anderson and Christiansen.

Any truth to that?

I think he's a pretty good coach, but he'll never have the talent advantage here vs the SEC that he had at UCLA vs pac12....

Looooooch already doing work for sumlin trying to prepare the masses.

He's a career journeyman who is usually not resigned when his contract runs out.
He's as bland as they come.

Downward trajectory in terms of talent, depth, and development since Sumlin arrived. Have to reverse this. Probably 6th ranked liner of scrimmage in the State of Texas. Huge gap between Top 2 or 3 and the rest. We are nearer to bottom of the rest.

Spav has "mutually agreed" to look for his next job.
National search for next OC begins.

Gotcha. So maybe Meachem or Mazzone are the front runners?
