Meachem would be great. I've also thought Cumbie staying at TCU doesn't make sense unless he thinks Meachem is leaving.

Of course, this now has my hopes up when before I was able to keep them in check.

Oh and Meachem's contract ends December 31st. Which would possibly explain some of the delay

If true, West Virginia has a very generous return policy. What's that, three years?

I have a good friend that is a former player at TCU and still very involved with the program. When Cumbie turned down tu, he thought that was weird because Cumbie had told several folks that he was gone unless he could start calling plays at TCU. It was nothing personal against Meacham, he just wanted to call plays.

When Cumbie decided to turn down a huge pay that tu offered and stay at TCU, word is that Meacham has accepted a new job and is waiting for the right time to announce. No one has said where he is going, but the feeling is that its a lateral move to a more premier OC position.

Again, no one has said A&M (or any other school), but the feeling is that Doug Meacham is on his way out.

This one?

Meachum might JUST be enough to save Sumlin's sorry arse.

Weird stuff going on over at the zoo right now, threads being deleted. Someone said it was about a new OC, someone else said it was actually rumors about Sumlin. As usual I'm sure it most likely that nobody knows anything but there has been some activity this afternoon...

Yep. I've been hearing similar stuff and hear related rumors when Cumbie turned down the job. Thought at the time it was because Meachem was taking a HC job

I think Looch rapidly deletes threads sometimes to stir up speculation.

It also wouldn't shock me if that Rojo guy was one of Billy's good buddies

He also deletes threads that prove him wrong.

Am I being unrealistic hoping Kyler could be molded into a Boykin type player under Meachem?

Not soon enough.

He deserves to be fired instead of getting the chance to leave without any repercussions.

Spav: Coach Sumlin, I got a swell new job at WVU.
Sumlin: That's not going to work. I can't allow it right now.
Spav: Umm... why not?
Sumlin: Because I have to fire you first. greenbastard demands it.
