I am now convinced Sumlin has a "chief" level OC lined up and just can't show his cards yet.

It's a certainty

I'm convinced that, while everyone else is playing chess, Fat Liar Kevin Sumlin is trying to play tag.

I hope you're right, Sarge. This needs to happen.

Old Sarge knows that our offense can't get any worse and that there are worse things that a Spav replacement and a 5* sophomore dual threat qb who's upside is incredible.

The new rumor is he might have a shot at a job at Penn St. That would explain why he isn't canned yet.

Your melt is in rare form my friend. I am almost a little jealous, you and Kaiser have the best melts.

Penn State has been known to look the other way with coaches, so hopefully they are able look past the QB controversy and hire this dumbass. They deserve him and much worse for what they allowed.

There is already some spin getting started to pave the possible path.

quote:

"He has a great reputation [within coaching circles]," said a scout that I spoke to about Spavital who wished to remain anonymous. "He has been a quarterback developer and is an instinctive play-caller."

What kind offensive system can we expect from a coach like Spavital?

"He's been part of a prolific spread with power run everywhere he's been," the scout said. "He just had no capable running back [in 2015]."

I've seen this take from a lot of people. Is there a lot of y'all that really think Sumlin had this master plan all along to steal chief from LSU? I'm pretty sure it's been proven that he just was wanting a bigger paycheck from LSU, they didn't play ball, and A&M said "hey we like to spend money on coaches and even if you turn out to be average we will still pay you a lot" so he shot them the finger and caught the first plane over, he would still be there if LSU had been willing to pay him more money. To think that Sumlin had some master scheme going to whole time is misguided in my opinion. And that does not give me confidence heading into a new OC hire....
