So does this mean we make the tourney next year and Kennedy gets another 4 year extension that we bitch about because we don't even make the NIT the following 3 years?

If we won the SEC every 4 years and made the tourney only in those years, would it be enough? Serious question because that's a poor % of dancing when they take like 40 at large teams but an excellent title winning %. We have 12 regular season ones in our entire history.

If we win the national championship, Aggy will still find a way to be upset, because he loves being a loser.

if he's in fact being projected that high you have to leave. i don't care if you have coach k as your coach, you leave if you are guaranteed that kind of money, and he sure as shite isn't playing for anything significant next year under kennedy.

Just hypothetically speaking, if he were projected 10th and could raise it to 5th, it's over 1.5x as much money on the first contract...

He will have an insurance policy, so it's not a huge risk.

He's being projected as high as he is while being a relative unknown until mid-way through the season and being thought of as a career role player... If he can show ANY kind of face-up game this year, NBA GMs will go nuts.

Plus, he gets to make us happy. That's worth a few million at least! Right?

The pitch to Williams and others like him is that you're going to get that huge first contract, but look at how many past high picks have flamed out because they didn't develop enough in their first few years. NBA teams are going to want you to significantly contribute within three years tops or get the hell out of the way. Another year at the collegiate level to work on his low post moves and face up game will do him well long term.

Never said I wasn't happy or enjoying that a good player is staying. Just predicting what our complaining will look like 3 years from now. If you can't laugh about me making fun of us then I don't know what else to say....
