Rubio & Kasich need to work on making deals to be Cruz's VP
Why would Rubio try to become Cruz's VP when he (Rubio) has the best shot, other than TRUMP, at the nomination? Cruz has ZERO chance in a brokered convention. His attitude and body odor have made him persona non grata among the establishment. Without Rubio dropping out, thereby essentially lending Cruz most of his voters, Cruz doesn't have a chance right now. Rubio needs to win FL, count on Kasich winning Ohio, and force a brokered convention. Cruz has no such path other than Rubio voluntarily laying down for him. As such, Rubio has the best shot (although it's very unlikely) at winning and Cruz should be trying to become his VP.
But reality is, TRUMP will be the winner.

If no one gets out, Trump will win.
If everyone gets out except Trump & Cruz then, while Trump is the still the favorite, Cruz has a chance.
If they get to a brokered convention, Trump will have a giant lead. He will still get the nom. If for some crazy arse reason he doesn't, then he runs 3rd party and Dems get a free presidency.
Rubio has no path to the white house. Cruz does.

Yes he does. Little Marco is the Establishment's Pool Boy. They'd get him the nomination in a brokered convention. They wouldn't broker a convention for Cruz, they hate him. Cruz has to win outright, which he only has a chance of doing if Rubio surrenders his advantage of being the one who can win a brokered convention. Neither is going to blink. TRUMP wins.

We will just have to agree to disagree. More than likely Rubio would be a distance 3rd heading into a brokered convention. I do not see the establishment voting him in. Drumph, Cruz, and all their supporters (a majority) would revolt. Like I said, Drumph would run 3rd party and Rubio would stand no chance in November in that scenario.
I am not even sure we can get to a brokered convention with the field vs Drumph as it stands now.

I think you are underestimating just how apoplectic the Establishment is over Trump. Those delegates are all establishment people. They're only pledged for the first round. So they vote how they're pledged in the first round and then when that isn't enough mathematically for HRH President for Life Trump to win (this is assuming Rubio wins FL, which is a long shot, and Kasich wins Ohio) and it goes into other rounds, they're then un-pledged and can vote as the Party wants them to (for Rubio), which they'll do because they are Party people.

I don't see either of those happening unfortunately.
Guess we'll all watch it play out. Regardless of who comes out, this is the most interesting primary season I have ever paid attention to.

Then they have sealed the election for Hillary, as Trump won't take that lying down and we will see a Bull Moose Part 2.

It's too late. There are too many states (like 40) with a "sore loser" law that prohibits candidates who ran in one party's primary and lost from switching parties and there are also major sates now where he's just straight-up already too late to file under a different party.

Most states' sore loser laws don't apply to Presidential candidates. The only ones that do are Texas and South Dakota. The issue with Trump is that the signature requirements are YUGE and the deadlines will have already passed or be weeks from passing at the convention.

Rubio would go in no higher than 2nd, and probably 3rd in delegates. If he was given the nomination at the brokered convention, you would see MASSIVE numbers of R voters just stay home. They would not rally around the establishment candidate who needed "cheating" by the establishment to win.
People are angry. Angry enough to be voting for Donald Trump.
Anyway, Cruz has announced he's going to make a major play in Florida. Rubio is already eyeing a very steep hill to climb to reach Trump. If Cruz comes after him, too, it's going to be that much more difficult to win Florida.
And if he doesn't win Florida, at that point I think the establishment throws in the towel. They may hate Cruz, but they see nominating Trump will rip the party in two.
I get that people think Cruz is unlikable, but he's the only one who is ACCEPTABLE to both anti-establishment voters and anti-trump voters.

I know all anyone wants to talk about is the Presidential election but can we talk about how fricked up it is that a straight up crazy person is likely to end up on the State Board of Education?
Mary Lou Bruner is in a runoff w/Keven Ellis and she needs to be stopped. This woman is little more than a crazed conspiracy theorist. She thinks the FBI stops her Facebook posts from showing up. She thinks Obama used to be a gay prostitute. She thinks school shootings are the result of teaching evolution and not having bible study in class. She thinks the UN is the One World Order and wants to reduce the world population by 2/3. She thinks that schools are using books banned in prisons b/c they cause prisoners to go nuts are causing kids to want to be sexually active.
If she wins the runoff she likely wins in November b/c District 9 is so red. Please stop people from voting for her. Please let people know that voting straight ticket will ensure a looney tune is now helping make educational decisions for thousands of children.

They may be coming around.

“Ted Cruz is not my favorite by any means,” Mr. Graham told CBS News late Tuesday, as Mr. Trump was on course to win seven states. But he added, “We may be in a position where we have to rally around Ted Cruz as the only way to stop Donald Trump.”

I knew without even looking that district 9 was Northeast Texas

I can get behind that. Anything to stop this deceitful thug who wants to use the government to further advance his business ventures. Trump will say anything to get into the White House and I'm baffled at how anyone can defend his David Duke fumble (ear piece is the stupidest excuse ever), his campaign funding scheme (as deceitful as it comes), his rally to start a tax war with other countries (dumber than dirt), and so many other things he has done/said and then flopped on.
Donald isn't anti-establishment. He has dipped his fingers by contributing to political campaigns in the past. It just so happens he decided to skip the middle man and run himself. He IS the definition of Big Wall Street Donor. How people can't see that is beyond me.

Because we are basically living in the movie idiocracy right now. We are one step away from electing Hector Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho as president.

The RNC needs to screen anyone that wants to run on their ticket with an IQ test. People like her are ruining and smearing the 'Republican' image.
Bitches be cray!

It's so cute to watch the GOP establishment stamp their feet and piss and moan about Trump. Two months ago, they were on his arse about not signing a pledge to forego a 3d party campaign. Now? Those cocksuckers are pulling out all stops for a potential 3d party candidate or brokered convention.
Trump is the only way to prevent Hillary. If you aren't astute enough to see that, then you deserve what you'll get. As for me and mine, we'll do what it takes to prevent another Democrat from taking office. Regardless of whether or not the GOP nominee meets every expectation I personally have.

I think the opposite is the case. If Trump is the nominee, tons of R voters stay home. He's that disliked by the people who dislike him. People are talking about leaving the party if he's the nominee. You have guys like Sen. Sasse of Nebraska, not at all an establishment guy, saying they will not support or vote for Trump in the general election. As stated above, you even have Lindsay Graham talking about rallying around Ted Cruz to stop Trump.
Trump is simply unacceptable to a huge swath of R voters. And that will at least cancel out whatever crossover voters he can get from blue dog democrats. Also, Trump is the only candidate who has almost as many avenues of attack as Clinton does, herself.
For example, the David Duke thing. I don't think Donald is racist, but that video makes him APPEAR to be. Clinton isn't going to care if the charge is true, she's just going to hammer it home against Donald, and every other down-ticket republican who supports Trump.

I am excited about Trump as a nominee because I am sick of debates on issues and worthless campaign promises. The Dem debates were so damn boring and fake. I want someone to go AFTER Hillary for HER life, about emails and Bengazi and Bill, and not her fake politics. Trump will take shots that other candidates won't.
