I gotta disagree. We're talking about college kids, not professionals. It is the coaches' JOB to put them in positions to succeed.
If your stud, the one YOU named QB1, is too hurt to perform at his normal level (and it's clear that he was in the OM game), YOU have to make that call as coaches to get him out of there before he hurts himself further, hurts his draft stock, hurts the team, hurts his confidence. I don't care if he has tears streaming down his face, pleading to go back into the game and play through the pain (as has been ingrained within him to do likely since the first time he stepped foot on the gridiron), you override him and make sure folks know that he was compromised. It's not coddling--it's common (and professional) courtesy. That's one of the traits coaches are supposed to impart upon their charges--professionalism.
There is no way under the sun to spin this into somehow being Kyle's fault unless it comes out that he was an impertinent terror behind the scenes (a highly unlikely scenario given how he's conducted himself in the public light in spite of the upheaval at his position that had little to do with him).

He humiliated himself. That had to be one of the worse performances I have ever seen.
I think he tried to play through pain during the Bama and Ole Miss game. The coaches trusted him and were disappointed with the results. They reopened the competition and gave him the reigns for the LSU you game and he sucked again.
He sucked and now he is a quitter.
Dude you don't have a clue. This whole QB situation has been so mishandled by Sumlin that I'm suprised that all of them as well as some other players aren't transfering. Sumlin fricked this up period. I know if it was my kid I'd have him transfer asap.

But you are assuming a lot, you don't know that to be true. It may be, but it's also just speculation.
It's not speculation. Ask Roger to confirm if you want.

I agree.
I just don't know how Sumlin could have fricked up this QB situation any worse. I can't blame Allen for transferring. Best of luck to him.
Murray should have been told from the get go that he was redshirting, and if he didn't like it to sign somewhere else. He wasn't ready and should have never played this year.
And it seems like Jake Spavital has a history of fricking up quarterbacks: Geno Smith, Kenny Hill, Kyle Allen, and Kyler Murray. Why is this fricking inexperienced imbecile an OC for a SEC school? He belongs at a middle school somewhere.

Wow everyone is really upset.
Seems like one of them was gonna transfer after this season no matter what.

and the one who wasnt supposed to transfer is the one who did

Not at all. If Murray would have been told he was redshirting then either a) he would have signed somewhere else, or b) he would be two years behind Allen and given the chance to get ready to play in this league.
Murray was terrible at best this year. The kid is small, can't see over the line, and is very one dimensional. He needed to sit for a year. And our staff was fricking stupid to play him.

The one who wasn't the problem did...although there's some wild douchebag theory on the zoo that Allen was the problem since he did not explicitly thank his teammates in his message.

That seemed a tad quick. Do yall think they gave the job back to Murray and that pushed him to transfer?
Posted on 12/10/15 at 9:15 pm to CajunTiger_225
We'll never know the true story. Sumlin will say it's an ongoing process and refuse to comment.

Yup. Should have told him if he wanted to be the next Manziel, he should be man enough to redshirt like Manziel did.
