I just want him to chill and cut loose. My fear is that he will make a mistake and then nut up and compound the mistake.

I was worried about that more with JFF than Kenny Hill.
If Manziel was like the football version of Manu Ginobili, Hill is more like Kawhi Leonard by comparison.

I don't even like basketball and I know what that means
.
And you're right. Kenny Chill would have been a much more appropriate nickname, if he has to have one.

I was waaaaaaaaay more worried about Manziel. Manziel played like a meth head from the Wild & Wonderful Whites mid-tweak.

Hill's command presence in this offense is palpable, and I think that'll serve him well as the games get tougher.

His inaccuracy on the long ball is still very concerning going into the future. Eventually he is going to have to beat a team over the top several times in one game for us to win.
The deep ball that Kennedy caught on 3rd and long on the first possession vs SMU was short and would have been picked by a better DB for example.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: if that really is his weakest throw, I'm not all that concerned. The deep pass is an inherently low-percentage play to begin with. His natural proclivity for overthrowing it reduces its risk.
Would much rather he shred teams underneath most if the time--only takes one or two deep connections to break a game open.

I dunno. At least one team is going to be able to take away the underneath stuff and if he can't beat them over the top it will be a huge issue.

If they take away the underneath stuff, we will pound the rock with the run game. Playaction, and two or three easy deep throws later, things will open back up again.

I want to see playaction out of the jumbo set.

Me too, especially down inside the ten

Even if they drop LBs, I seriously doubt they can take the underneath stuff away. Hill has such a quick delivery they will have to jamb us at the line. I don't think they can jamb our receivers... then it is going to be a footrace which we most of the time.
They won't get enough pressure on Hill to cause him to make many mistakes. He is going to pick them apart.
I think Ags have 240 rushing and close to 400 passing. Hogs secondary is overmatched. Expect Ags to wear the Hogs defense out.

I have no reservations. I think Sumlin gets it on every level and he's the perfect college coach.

FWIW I was on the "why can't Kenny throw the long ball?" bandwagon until SMU. Rewatch it if you need to and take a look at the long pass to Josh Reynolds just before halftime. It was absolutely perfect. There have been a couple others, too, but I don't think we need bombs to beat Arky. Just need to catch the intermediate passes, which our guys will do.

Welp, his weak deep ball skills have lost us two TDs in the first half vs piggie. :-(

That was the ugliest half of football.
I hope they chill the frick out and start clicking, or it could get bad.
