Looking forward to seeing who takes his place. Hard to blame the guy taking a promotion from OL coach to OC.

Alabama and Georgia get their coaches poached all the time, its part of running a very successful program, so we best be ready if we think we are ready to play with the big boys. Those guys just reload at coaching spots so we need to be able to as well.
Second, while our offensive lines did tend to get better later in the season, they usually looked pretty rough to start most years. I'm not saying Henson was a bad coach necessarily, but I think we can hire someone just as good if not better and come out of the gate swinging every season on the line.

There has been chatter about wanting the guy caned on the 50yl, and now losing him is a problem!

Henson was a pretty average coach overall. Opportunity to upgrade

Fisher will get a great replacement. Henson I thought was a good coach, but just an average recruiter. He also was controversial - people constantly wanted him fired for how long it took the OL to get up to speed

He’s come a long way from being the guy that used to have to stand next to Les Miles to remind him how many timeouts we had circa 2005-07
