Because the Big12 plays no defense. They feast on teams like Kansas and Baylor. This is the best defense they've faced all year. If Gundy played in the SEC, he'd be no better than Sumlin.

Well no shite! We just spent 75 million to buy a coach. We aren't about to skimp out on buying a cheap DC, so of course it'll be a high profile coordinator.

Something big is going on I just can’t tell what. It sounds to me like someone came back into the fold .... perhaps Aranda. I’m still sticking with my list for the most part.

Oh and Banks definitely has an offer to join Saban’s staff. He wants NFL. If he has to chose between us and Bama it’s 50/50.

Yes. I don’t know if there is a rule prohibiting multiple recruiting coordinators.
My honest opinion is we need another defensive staffer but recruiting is king and Banks has west coast inroads.
Also apparently McKinney is considering taking a consulting position for one year.

"LSU confirmed Aranda's new contract that The Advocate reported about last week, releasing details about the three-year deal that runs through the 2019 season. Aranda will make $1.8 million next year, $1.85 in 2018 and $1.9 in 2019, according to the statement the school released Wednesday.
