Makes total sense, all the big writers are throwing shite at the wall and hoping it will stick.

Our writers have turned into Chip Brown clones.

Charles Kelly out as FSU defensive coordinator

According to the tweet, Kelly is said to have another job lined up and will be announcing it in the near future.

Hopefully he is not the DC

No one at TexAgs knows shite about the new DC. It's been a "Guess Who?" game the moment Jimbo landed in College Station.

He’s old, has no SEC connection, has no Jmbo connection, and isn’t known as a plus recruiter.

Sounds like the type of guy our regents would have loved before this year.

That’s not exactly accurate. Don Brown is a pretty solid recruiter. And he fits the mold of a Jimbo DC, as he has spent a great deal of his recent career coaching secondary.

As far as recruiting, he has gotten some really good talent at Michigan. Just this year he was able to go into Georgia and pull away 5-star defensive tackle Aubrey Soloman away from UGA, Bama, Clemson, FSU, UF, and about twenty others. And, Brown would probsbly bring Chris Partridge to coach linebackers. For those unfamiliar with him, he is another Tosh Lupoi level recruiter. He was rated the #1 overall recruiter in the 247 rankings for 2017 .... and guess where he was abke to go and get the talent? Georgia, IMG, Florida, Texas, and pretty much every other recruiting hotbed in our target states.

But if getting Brown meant we bright Partridge into the fold, it would be hard to argue with the hire. Brown by himself is a decent hire, but with Partridge he is capable of pulling elite defensive talent to our side. A Partridge/Graham/Brewster/Banks assistant combo would be deadly on the recruiting trail.

Seriously, look into Partridge. This is the same guy who helped pull Mustapha Muhammad out of Texas this year.

I wish you could see the insane threads on premium over at TexAgs. They have named every DC in the nation and Billy has shot them all down. Now they have a spreadsheet going so they can cross names off based on his hints.

He's talking about Liucci. Regardless of what Liucci knows, he has left enough vague clues subject to multiple interpretstions in the past few weeks that he will be able to say he was right the entire time. In mean ffs he said at first we have our man and now he is saying the situation is "fluid." What a joke.

So no matter whether he knew or not, he'll be able to do the classic "I've said all along...." crap.

The only absolute is that it is quiet for a reason. The reason being whoever our coach is, he still has a game ahead and is probably under contract to that point.

I'm pretty sure it's someone that has already been discussed in this thread.

Surely it's got to be a big time name at this point. I just am surprised that it hasn't come out yet. I mean could it have possibly solidified Bobby Brown?

I think it could have but the coach is more important than Brown. We will have a strong DT haul this year and will hopefully flip a Texas commit after the coach is hired.

Im just hoping at this point it's Lupoi, since he is an elite recruiter and will have to stay a few years and do very well before getting a better opportunity. We could use the stability.

Do we really trust lupoi to put together a good/great defense from scratch? I understand he has done well steering the bus Saban built, but that's nothing like what he'll be doing here.
