According to the post game press conference:

quote:

Jimbo Fisher on if they considered a change at QB today: "We were, but we never had the ball." "If we had got more possessions, maybe so."

So looks like we might have some QB controversy heading into next week’s game.

I know King performed poorly, but our offensive line is trash right now. Even Johnny would have problems back there.

Part of me is happy to hear this and part of me feels like Max is not nearly good enough to overcome all the problems with the offense right now.

Jimbo is going to have the fan base hating a 4th QB in 5 years with the mess of an offense he's put together

The OL isn’t good overall, but they are at least average in pass pro. King has plenty of time and open receivers to make plays today and win the game.

Agree. His pocket presence, on top of all the other things he struggles with, is subpar

This is why I said we should be starting Johnson.

I’ll take my very important updoots now.

Eh, we scored 17 points. 7 of them on a really short field thanks to a dropped punt. I’d hold off on crowning Max.

Was like going back in time with Mond and Calzada, I don’t think we attempted a pass more than 10 yards in the air. Maybe some of that was the suspended receivers, but still…..

Lack of downfield passes sucked but no turnovers and he was fairly decisive when he ran which I think helped open things up just enough for Achane to get free. Hopefully the suspensions were just for this game b/c Stewart’s absence was glaring.
