So difficult to beat LSU without being able to run effectively and with at least some power. We just don’t match up with our weak LOS play. Been a problem since Sherman’s line was drafted/graduated. Gotten worse every year since. Under Sumlin it isn’t going to get much better. LSU athletes too good on defense year after year.
Just a bad physical matchup with Sumlin philosophy of playing pussy run game.

It's probably better this way. A loss changes nothing about our circumstances, but it does prevent those in our fanbase who accept mediocrity from second guessing firing Sumlin (at least publically). We won't have to listen to "But but 8-4!!!! Beat LSU!"

I don't understand all the rage tonight nor the shock. Looking at Texags, you'd never know he's getting fired after the game or that we've been playing like this for four years.
What did everyone expect? That a lame duck coach would somehow turn it around in his last game?

One of the great Texags myths is the players love Sumlin. He doesn't interact with them much once they are on campus and is very much a CEO who leaves most player interaction to assistants. Most of the upperclassmen are ambivalent.
